We also made our butlers pantry door/opening wider so its kinda part of the kitchen. Will turn that area for my coffee machine We made our bed4 smaller as we will use it for a study room. Cant wait Kitchens going in this week! Will turn that area for my coffee machine Looks close to identical to what we did. We also removed the door nibs. Did you continue the caeserstone into the butlers? Talk about great minds... Espresso machine allocation was always part of the plan. It's a dirty world without decent coffee !! We really wanted that, but it was out of our budget we also didnt put stone in the pantry too which i regret! But see hows the end result may change the top in the future to a solid timber top. I like Cafe look. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 64Apr 22, 2013 11:38 pm Quote: Wow awesome! OmG you got the double fireplace! If it is, maybe we'll have it installed later on... Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 66Apr 23, 2013 7:25 am cpl Wow awesome! OmG you got the double fireplace! I like Cafe look. Yeah we got the idea to continue the stone from a few Carlisle displays we saw. They tended to go the butler's continuation look too... The heater we had our minds set on from the get-go. We really loved it's placement. The expense played on our minds a little but thought bugger it, it's our second (and probably final home). Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 68Apr 23, 2013 7:07 pm Nice cabinets colour! We were tossing between the colour in cosham (osprey stone with light brown cabinet) and the colour in most display houses (ivory stone with bronzework cabinet). we finally decided with the display house... sometimes i still think whether I should have chosen the color just like in cosham.. hmmmm.. Did you have horizontal grain for your cabinets or the normal vertical grain? It's not clear in the photos you posted. hehe. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 69Apr 23, 2013 8:12 pm Mtz08 good to see the progress. We should be also starting our build by next month. Good to see a lot of us building the same design. We've added an extra single linen cupboard in the laundry room, basin in we and some sliding doors Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 71Apr 24, 2013 11:51 am sunct Mtz08 good to see the progress. I thought you have signed the contract a few months ago and your land has also titled... Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 72Apr 24, 2013 2:34 pm oh the contract had some issues as the drawings were incorrect but all sorted now and building permit has been received so we should be starting build in a week to 10 days. Very excited and cant wait. Very excited and cant wait. Oh great if everything has been rectified! What were the issues with the drawings?? When we had ours, the drawings were all good and accurate except for a few minor things that were rectified the next day after the contract appointment... We are now waiting for our land to title in 2 weeks or so, and hopefully the build will start very soon after that.. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 76Apr 24, 2013 3:59 pm Hi Guys! Brand new to homeone, but my partner and i have just purchased land! We have a little while to wait for titles (September) Currently we are being quoted on the Monaco Nouveau Q1. Seems like such a popular house! How has everyone found the process? Are you happy with the build quality? With your supervisor? With all the info you have been given? We are 99% sure we are goign with Henley, at the moment they are $30K cheaper than porter davis! And are allowing my partner to do our electricals! And are allowing my partner to do our electricals! So far so good... No issues so far.. Fingers crossed... The only issue was through colour, tender and contract as half way through our administrator left and did not pass down our files properly to the new admin. So alot of time was wasted to fix up our items. The build so far is great and workmanship is good. Though some materials they use are of lower quality than other builders. But there is nothing to be concerned of. Through my inspector he said porter davis after a few months of hand over there are many problems and issues with his customers homes where he did the inspection. Mostly is in wet areas where they do not waterproof properly. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 79Apr 24, 2013 4:45 pm Hey sunct good to hear you're finally on your way. Certainly not a game for those with a lack of patience (like me) Rhiles we are in about the same stage of the process as mtz.. So far Henley have been nothing but totally professional. I certainly hope we have yet another Monaco builder to converse with. Where I found Porter Davis and Henley to be different. Besides the base price of the homes. PD's upgrades seem to add up a lot quicker than Henley. Also what PD offer as Category 1 seems to be a little inferior too. We were so very close to building PD's Drysdale but felt highly let down / deflated after a visit to Hopetoun interiors. Ya also visiting hopetown was really let down, the options for upgrades was very limited too. And prices was not really available and not as transparent than henely. Great thing with henley was that all our upgrades costs was given to us even before signing for the sale of the house. That really helped us budget alot better and we could see what items we could have and couldnt have i.e double fireplace! Envy Aston Boy. With that we didnt get any surprises in costs in tender.
