Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 361Sep 25, 2013 7:55 am Sad about the doors... :C I hope it doesnt happen again. Be careful about your extra bricks too and keep them behind the house and get your fencing done as soon as the site is cleared. But ur house is pregressing pretty fast. Looking real good Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 362Sep 27, 2013 3:45 pm Thanks sunct! the sliding door has now been replaced and they cover it with timber. the plaster has started in our house. the bricks are about 70% done. so happy with the progress. will update a picture once the plaster is finished... have seen a lot of houses going up in our area as well, but none on our block haha. we will be alone along the street... hopefully the other houses will be built soonish. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 363Sep 28, 2013 6:47 pm the house really looks livable now. i have started taking measurement for the fridge.. the fridge space is 980mm, wonder if the fridge that I want will fit there (fridge is 912mm). from what i measure, it will fit. here is picture of plaster in main living area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ here is plaster in masterbed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ here is the facade! Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 364Sep 30, 2013 9:47 pm Looking lovely! Loving seeing the progress Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 365Sep 30, 2013 10:47 pm Thanks emptyspace! I also enjoy looking at your thread! We are at about the same stage, i guess. Hopefully we can move in before christmas. I checked the plaster this evening, i notice the plasters are not perfectly straight in some areas, especially around the arch at entry hallway and hallway to the secondary bedrooms. I'll raise this with SS and see if he can get it rectified. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 366Oct 01, 2013 9:30 am Hey mtz... your house is really zooming along As for the plaster don't be too worried. They send an inspector through with a pencil and they really give it a thorough going over. Anything faulty will be rectified before they undercoat your ceilings !! Fingers crossed! Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 369Oct 01, 2013 11:25 pm Hi mtz08... your house is looking grt.. congrats.. I am also building with Henley, although different house and in Northern Suburbs. Just at slab stage. I am wondering did you happen to get Building Inspector report (hired by Henley)say for slab and frame stage? On that note did you engage/plan to engage the services of your own building inspector? Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 370Oct 02, 2013 8:50 am Thanks Sunnydays, you can ask your admin for those reports. It's a simple 1 page repost saying whether the stage has complied with the specs and tolerance. And yes, i have a private building inspector, just to ease my mind.. Seems like we have similar cabinets Good choice! Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 374Oct 03, 2013 12:52 pm Good job for us in choosing the cabinet colour!! I copied the colours from 1 of the display houses. Very happy with it.. Cant wait until the basins and the benchtop are installed. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 375Oct 05, 2013 5:35 pm We are completely locked out!!! T.T I finally understand how everyone in this forum felt like when they cant go inside the house, especially at fixing stage when a lot of things that make a house livable are being installed... So sad i can only peek through the windows.. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 376Oct 05, 2013 7:45 pm mtz08 Hi all, After following this forum for a while and getting wise advices from other members, it's time for us to start our build thread. We are building the Monaco Nouveau Q1 by Henley in Allura Estate. We just signed the building contract and now awaiting our land to title in early May. Now, we have done little modifications to the original floorplan, which are: - Turning WC into powder room by adding basin - Creating a niche/recess on the wall facing dining area - Change butler's pantry door to cavity sliding door - Add niches in shower (ensuite and bathroom) We wanted to upgrade the facade but not possible because the house with the standard Broadway facade is already at the limit for site coverage of 60%. So we have to work hard around the front landscaping later on so that the facade does not look too plain... Here is the final floorplan... But the colour will (hopefully) look very similar to the display house in Williams Landing (Alegra) or in Allura (Palace).
