How is new house??? Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 384Nov 25, 2013 12:11 pm How is your build progressing mtz08? I have been watching your progress and we are now up to paint stage. All doors have been stained and they must be doing the inside now as we are unable to even see through the windows with all the plastic surrounding them. It has been an extremely fast process from demolition to where we are now. I did not think we would be at this stage at all this close to Christmas. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 385Nov 25, 2013 12:44 pm hey jkkippy... We have our PCI this week! but handover date is not yet informed to us. i havent posted any new photos since the house has been locked, but i will when we got the keys. very very excited now. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 386Nov 26, 2013 10:02 am That is really exciting! You will have such a fantastic Christmas present! I doubt very much we will be at handover by Christmas. It has been discussed but that is about 3.5 weeks till shutdown and there still seems so much to be done. We also have to get a fence height increase completed prior to us taking the keys due to habitable rooms on one side of our land and that could be a bit of an issue as our neighbour was not happy putting up a new fence even though part of it is now leaning to one side since demolition. I am hoping she will be reasonable. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 387Dec 04, 2013 11:21 am Hi all we are also building the Henley but the Monaco Q1 with a few changes internally we are having the nouveau kitchen instead of the Monaco Q1 layout. I can't believe how quickly our house is coming along! Our slab was poured on the 28th of October and not far from Lock up stage. All that needs to be dones is to put the Architraves, skirting boards, doors to all internal and external including garage door for us to be in lock up stage. I must say quite impress with the work the tradies so far have done, no major problems. We've had our own personal home inspector come and besides a few framing problems, everything has been up to standard. It's just great to see how the house is coming along and so looking forward to moving in. So does anyone know from their own personal experience how long it takes from lock up stage to handover? Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 388Dec 04, 2013 11:44 am hey, its good to see another enjoyable experience building the monaco. it is indeed very fast that the home loan withdrawal is piling up very quickly. 2.5 months from lockup to completion for us. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 389Dec 04, 2013 3:41 pm mtz08 hey, its good to see another enjoyable experience building the monaco. it is indeed very fast that the home loan withdrawal is piling up very quickly. 2.5 months from lockup to completion for us. glad to know how long you took from lockup to completion, we are building with Henley, (building the Geneva Q1) and have just got to lockup this week, I wish they didn't shut down for Xmas! Different design but similar size so I guess we won't be in till late feb at the earliest, maybe March. It's only taken 8 weeks to get to lockup though. SOOO FAST! it's great! Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 390Jan 21, 2014 11:37 pm Can anyone help me with this please? Our tender appointment is on 4th Feb. Received a phone call from Henley today and told by our administrator that they will not be able to provide me any pricing (there are some items I still would like to add on but want to know price first before I make up my mind) for add ons because it's getting to close to our tender appointment. Can anyone tell me if I still can delete add ons during the tender if I don't want it? Thanks!! Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 391Jan 22, 2014 8:24 am yes you can still delete or add items to your tender. it's better if you put everything in tender then delete the ones you dont want during your tender appointment.. I agree, just add everything you want, and delete things that are too expensive at tender, otherwise if you want to add something that is POA (price on application) you will have to wait for them to get the pricing again before you can do the contract. Re: Our Build - Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 in Melbourne West 393Jan 24, 2014 8:26 pm Hi team Have loved watching your Monaco's going up. My wife and I head to Henley and get the ball rolling tomorrow. From your experience how long is it between having your site and soils done to starting our selections. Also we have been told that they are unable to fix our site costs does that mean we could still be up for some added costs after the contract is signed?? We are a little anxious about site costs as we have 1.6 mtrs of fall in the Harvest Views Estate. I am still in the process of decorating the house and will still be in the next year or so. are you building with Henley too? We're still searching for the perfect block but my partner has fallen in love with the Monaco so unless there is ANOTHER price rise I'm pretty sure we're going with that. But a bit nervous due to a bad building experience in the past which is why I'm making sure all my research is done first.
