Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Tiling question - anyone? 10Apr 18, 2013 6:50 am Anything custom ie outside of what the builder supplies normally they will charge at a premium, It all comes down to your negotiating skills and with that what is agreed before the job. What did you agree too? Do you have a quote in writing for the extra work? We have over 70 tiles left over from about a 130 square meters which is okay in my books as its down to how many where damaged on delivery and how good the tiler is. Ie the tiler that did our house was very good and used waste pieces a lot when he could and when he cut a tile he would get it right the first time. He was also did a little extra tiling and at no cost (extra row above bath). Blond1e Still haven't decided if we should just keep them or not. With the question of keeping the tiles or not, I would keep them for the future as if any of the tiles are damaged then you have them on hand to replace as in a few years down the track the tiles you have may not be available and matching them can be a nightmare. Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 7546 Hi, I'm clearing the tiles from our horrid 50 year old bathroom and preparing to lay new ones. Bugger of a job getting the old… 0 8088 4 14463 |
