Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 321Jan 09, 2014 6:47 pm Good point, better to pay the small cost than have uneven flooring! Ours was pretty good before hand but I guess better to not risk it. Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 322Jan 09, 2014 6:52 pm Though I do agree if you asked up front about all costs the extra $5/m2 should have been mentioned! Even if it isn't always needed! I can tell when I look at the skirting it isn't level because you see the gap between the flooring and bottom of the skirting get bigger and smaller. Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 323Jan 09, 2014 9:45 pm Rubber trims are usually an additional amount but most floor places will put them in the quote. As for tile step up you can pay for ramps before vinyl laid. We did this in main area powder room Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 325Jan 29, 2014 12:02 pm Everything is going really well, we moved in on January 11th Since getting keys we have done: OH built brick letterbox/planterbox - just needs to be rendered and painted OH put TV antenna up NBN connected the internet so we have internet agagin OH's grandad painted the whole house Carpet court installed flooring and carpet Fencing was installed OH did the skirting and I painted it all OH friend installed pendant lights in the kitchen, will be back to finish the downlights and front garage lights once in Perth again (FIFO worker) OH did some paving for the rubbish bins to sit on A few tip runs to get rid of all the crazy amounts of boxes that are involved with all the new furniture and whitegoods Did an Ikea run last weekend to get the theatre room cupboard Security front door is being installed today We have someone coming on 11 Feb to fix the zone controlled for the air con because it hasn't worked since we got keys, so have had to cool the whole house when half of it isn't being used Will put some photos of soon, was waiting for things to be a bit more finished but most of the rooms are done now All in all, it is so great being able to live in our very own brand new house, no more living with parents haha Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 326Jan 30, 2014 12:00 pm Wow you guys have been busy.. sounds like everything is going nicely.. congrats terrible news about the aircon Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 327Jan 30, 2014 12:55 pm can't wait for photos Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moving sooon 328Jan 31, 2014 10:01 am Bring on the photos Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moved In :) 329Jan 31, 2014 10:27 pm Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moved In :) 330Jan 31, 2014 10:34 pm Looks lovely and warm Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moved In :) 331Feb 01, 2014 12:27 pm Some more photos I took this morning: Study - trying to go for a white and blue theme in this room, will look better once I get the big Ikea billy bookcase rather than the small temporary one Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pictures in the activity room Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Theatre room - will put photo of the other side of the room once it has been finished Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Photo up on the wall next to the kitchen - took this in Mauritius Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Shoe rack in the walk in robe Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Walk in robe - if you look closely you can see my little fur baby on the floor Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moved In :) 332Feb 03, 2014 4:46 pm It is looking fabulous! We signed and forwarded to bank and builders straight away but seemed short turn around to me? Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Moved In :) 336Feb 11, 2014 12:48 pm I think mine had 10 days but that was from the date of the invoice, which was always about 4 days prior to when we received it in the mail. I had it set up for verbal authority with the bank so I could just call and authorise it since I wasn't sure about the delay in sending it back through the post. But 5 days does sound really short considering how long it takes to post it, you might not even receive it by the time 5 days is up! Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Plasterer want 337Feb 11, 2014 1:24 pm I am looking for a plasterer/renderer to render our brick letter box/planterbox if anyone can recommend someone? Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Plasterer want 338Apr 14, 2014 6:05 pm Hi Felicity have you seen our bricks? SOOOO exciting. I have also only just noticed how our plans are totally different but so similar (My main is at the front so basically the bedroom section is reversed and our kitchens are different too) how are you settling in to HP? upload some new photos so we can all see life in a new build 3 months on Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Plasterer want 339Apr 21, 2014 11:45 am I have seen them, you must be getting so excited to see progress on your place!! Have you started a thread so we can follow your build on here? I was going to put some photos up once some more has happened, we got our brick letter box rendered, just need to paint it then we are working on the front and back yard, also need to get some double doors for the theatre and are going to add some cabinetry to the kitchen next to the fridge. Been a bit of a delay getting to everything since we got married at the start of this month and only just got back from our honeymoon - time to get back into it now Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Plasterer want 340Apr 21, 2014 1:38 pm Hi Felicity. Congratulations on getting married. Your house looks lovely. I drive past every day and m so jealous that you are in and sorted. I love your window shutters!!! Hi SheryLee. Are you also building with C0llier. If so, I have been watching your build too. Looks like bricks have just started for the build by them on Frankland Ave. How exciting. Looks like we are progressing at exactly the same rate. My Building Thread:https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66153 Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 3421 Thanks for sharing. Looks good. The joiner has come back with a quote of close to 5k. I think we are going to not do it. Attaching panelling is something they are dead… 11 10080 |
