For now our front rooms are just spare empty rooms so no point spending money on fancy shutters! Will keep an eye on our place now movement is happening Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Landscaping 343Apr 25, 2014 12:17 am Hi Felicity01, We also saw your house from outside last week and it looks fabulous. Hammond Park is a good suburb, why you need shutters? Is it really for safety or more for show I am also building with New Generation Homes and hopefully our construction should start shortly. We might actually end up getting the security roller shutters on the front down the track, once the two front bedrooms have kids in them (we don't have kids yet but that is what those rooms are already planned for). Prefer to have them a bit safer and they keep out noise from the street if kids are sleeping during the day or something. But that is way down the track so for now, they will stay as is! Where abouts are you building? If you are around us then you may have the same SS as us, he was great, gets it done to a great quality and really quickly compared to some other builders we have seen. Good luck with everything Do you have a thread? I always love to follow fellow New Gen builders and people in Hammond Park haha Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- Landscaping 345Apr 26, 2014 11:57 pm Hi Felicity, I am not too far from your house. I am building in heron park, harrisdale with new generation. I have recently started my thread. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70662&p=1167117#p1167117 Building with New Generation @ Heron Park, Harrisdale, WA My Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70662&p=1167117#p1167117 Re: The Monteray New Generation Hammond Park- kitchen cabine 346May 23, 2014 11:56 am So the reticulation was put in last week and the hubby is putting down some top soil this weekend so the lawn can go down the weekend after that. For our backyard we are doing runners since my dad has grown some for us and the front yard will be roll on. Then it will be lots of planting for me not a big gardener but I am sure I will get into in haha. My next step for the house, adding kitchen cabinetry to our blank kitchen wall... This is the current kitchen: The wall with the fridge is where we are looking at adding cupboards, to start with I was thinking a full wall of cupboards around the fridge. The wall is 2.4m wide and the fridge takes up 1m of that space. Then we thought about possibly having some extra bench space for storing appliances that are used for much they can't go away in the pantry (thermomix, coffee machine and kettle for example). This is my current thought: The 1.4m on the left of the fridge would be split in two, with one side being full cupboards going from floor to ceiling (our ceiling is 31c high and as that may be quite high for cupboards maybe just a panel to close in the space so it isn't open to collect dust and grease?), the other half will be a base cabinet for some extra bench space. Underneath that I am thinking a drawer for the bins (next to the fridge is where our bins are at the moment so we would need somewhere for them in the new design). Then overheads cupboards going the full width of the space from over the base cabinet and over the fridge. The full length cupboards I wouldn't mind if at the bottom there was two pot drawers (up to the height of the benchtop top) then cupboards above. Anyone's thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone would know roughly how much we could be looking at to get a cabinet maker to do this. We would need to get matching materials so the cupboards would be laminex stipple seal and the benchtop would be essatone frappe 20mm. Thanks for any advice anyone has Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4782 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6632 |
