Love your choice of letterbox and doesn't the kitchen look absolutely stunning!! Quick question, I'm too lazy to go back on the thread but that is Karndean looselay isn't it? Are you happy with it? I think it looks great. Re: RedInk, Baldivis - Moved In, finishing off - Pics 1142Jan 16, 2014 11:33 am fmac Looking good!! Just as a note our bath takes ages to fill, they now have water saver spouts on everything now so that might be part of the problem, I start the running the bath and then go off and do other things until its full If both baths filled at the same rate I'd be like OK, but our bath in the ensuite fills at 2 times the rate as the one in the kids bathroom. I love the colour, I have noticed though that it's about the same hardness as tiles (maybe a tad softer), in some places you can really notice the joins & others you can't & then I have a small bubble going into the kids activity room which I seem to step on everytime I walk in there! LOL I can't use my steam mop / vacuum on them so I had to go and buy a special sweeper thingy! (only $16 at BigW) Other than that they are great Our RedInk Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64118&p=1004131#p1004131 ** Timeline Page 1 Moved In - 19.12.13 Re: RedInk, Baldivis - Moved In, finishing off - Pics 1144Jan 16, 2014 2:19 pm Oh no Charlie so even the looselay scratches? I don't know if you remember I was originally going to go for that exact one. We've got Karndean returning to grind part of my kitchen floor (builder won't get involved, not their problem) and relaying in there.... plus stripping and resealing all of the whole house, plus they've already kindly fixed up the original layers interesting gaffs. I will be referring back to my old Karndean thread for an update again when it all done. It's also interesting to note they have changed their patterns and it would seem feedback isn't all that great cause it makes the floor look like it's got dirty paw prints all over it. However .... customer service is faultless!!! Re: RedInk, Baldivis - Moved In, finishing off - Pics 1146Jan 16, 2014 4:19 pm asj25 Can you see any waves in the looselay? Why can't you use a vacuum? I have ordered ours and this is the thing I am most worried about! Nope, no waves. Just the one patch where I can feel it hasn't stuck to the adhesive as well as the others. The no vacuuming was more that it will lift the planks off the adhesive BUT it can scratch them if your aren't careful. It's really easy to just walk around with the sweeper though Serialbuilder Oh no Charlie so even the looselay scratches? I don't know if you remember I was originally going to go for that exact one. We have been very careful to have lots of mats / rugs around to trap any sand / dirt / grit that gets in so that there is less chance of damage. I have a 5 yr old & a 7 yr old & so far they haven't damaged anything!!!! LOL I am super happy with it. That's really crappy that you problem still hasn't been solved Great that Karndean are rectifying it BUT the builder has a lot to answer to I think! You can see feet prints on mine in the right angle as well...so they do look dirty most of the time but "meh" LOL Mandy67 Wow, you've already got your garden sorted! Well done! All looks great, congratulations. Thanks Mandy. I couldn't stand the sand!!!!!!!! LOL, but they are sending out the actual Daikin Tech to have a look at it as they were no obvious issues happening. Plumbers came & fixed the bathroom bath tap, the restrictor was full of metal shavings & rubbish... :S So now both tubs are running at the same speed. Bore pump was done today, we are managing to get approx 70litres per minute which is a great flow. Just need to wait for the Electrician to come & wire it up & then connect it up to the retic. I am amazed a vacuum would lift the planks! The glue they use is one that allows you to lift a damaged plank & replace it, so they don't use the industrial stuff otherwise you wouldn't be able to get them up without using a jackhammer! Interesting. I mop and vacuum mine, no scratches or issues so far. Just dust from all sand outside (wishing we had orange sand now, so less dusty haha) Re: RedInk, Baldivis - Moved In, finishing off - Pics 1151Jan 16, 2014 4:49 pm That's one powerful vaccum cleaner. You misunderstood Charlie, they have a new pattern on their walnut planks that in the right light looks like paw prints, they aren't actually dirty, they just look it. I have footprints on there too, but they are mine and they are dirty haha. We have 4 of them and if I had a gun I'd shoot them out of the ceiling . They go day and night even with the slightest breeze, the only time they are quiet is when the fan is actually on (drowns out the noise ). We are having our 6 month maintenance done in a couple of weeks and it seems we might be having those annoying flaps taped down and that will hopefully stop the racket.
