Browse Forums Building A New House Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 82Aug 26, 2015 3:30 pm We have done few changes: Upgrade/Extended the kitchen benchtop with Cat3 Caesarstone. Floor tiles were upgraded. Front door upgraded to 1020mm. Add-on refrigeration cooling instead of the standard evaporative cooling. Rumpus has been extended. Included wiring for CCTV and theatre room. Arden is easy to deal with and they are quick onsite. So far we are happy with them. Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 84Aug 31, 2015 6:55 pm Hi eternty I understand your concern. I have thought of that as well. I guess now is not the right time to sell any houses in Harcrest. I went to the auction as well. The vendor should wait til the lake and park completed. Buyers can't visualize the entire estate property and also buyers have the option to purchase land and built their own design home. My land is also at stage 6 10x28m. I am building with burbank emerald 2900 with side extension to 31sq so that I could have another guest room/theater room with a bathroom instead of powder room downstairs. After modification is $285k plus $15k of promotion upgrades. All together is just under $300k or $645k inclusive land. I think this is reasonable given that townhoused in knox area are around $600-650k with only 3 bedrooms. Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 86Sep 08, 2015 1:09 pm Hi Jin. I bought an exactly same size block like yours for stage 6. And i choose the emerald 2900 from burbank as well (it was called jameson 2900 when i signed the contract). Burbank reduce the size of my house a bit to meet mirvac requirement. I'm quite curious why you can get a 31sq house (larger when i need to get smaller to fit the house in my block). Would you mind pm me your plan just for my curiosity how you modify it to 31 sq? thanks. Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 87Sep 08, 2015 1:36 pm Hi all, Hope everyone's construction is going well. It's great to see all the progress I just wanted to check with all the Stage 8 people regarding their crossovers/pavements. I received a letter from Mirvac last week with the subject of Harcrest Rectification Works of Concrete Defects. Did others receive this? I've contacted Mirvac since, asking what this is about. A piece of our crossover is broken (builder takes no responsibility and will not be fixing). The response we've gotten back from Mirvac has been very vague. The response below: "Mirvac does not know any specifics regarding this matter; The work that is to be rectified is being conducted by council. We do not know have any further details, we are simply relaying the message to all residence." However, the letter says Mirvac has appointed a company to fix this. If anyone else has more info that would be great. And if your crossover is damaged, what are your plans on getting it fixed? Thanks. Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 88Sep 08, 2015 3:00 pm Hi nhkhms Happy to share . But the modification cost is around $15k+. But I get extra small room plus a bathroom downstairs Can I get your email address so that we could discuss more and share things given that we are in same stage same size of land same builder and same design Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 91Sep 25, 2015 9:30 am Hi Pr007, We are 2 months into construction, so still a little while to go. How about you? I would be interested to know when everyone puts up the fencing as well as which companies people are using for when we need to do ours. Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 92Oct 25, 2015 2:46 pm Hi all, How's everyone's build going? I have a question regarding fencing. We are starting to look for quotes. For those that have put up fences in Harcrest, could you provide me with contact details of fence people? What option fence did everyone go with? Any info would be great. Thank you Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 93Oct 26, 2015 8:28 am Hi Anj85 May of us in stage 4 has done fencing through 'Best Fencing Makers', there is a guy call 'Tejindar Gill' - 0425 237 500 27.08.13 Building Contract 09.07.14 Site Start 24.07.14 Base / Slab 28.07.14 Frame 27.08.14 Lockup 15.09.14 Fixout 25.11.14 Settlement Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 94Nov 09, 2015 2:09 pm Hi all, Thanks for the fence guys details @nnsha1. Anyone has landscapers/concreters details? I've seen one person's details posted a few months ago, I'm looking to get a few quotes so would be good to use someone who has already done some work in Harcrest. Thank you Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 95Jan 07, 2016 2:55 pm Hi all, Happy New Year! Hope everyone's houses are coming along nicely. Re: RE: Harcrest by Mirvac 98Mar 06, 2017 2:36 pm Hi All, Good to see the threads about Harcrest and development updates. I am wondering if any one is here who has purchased in stage 9. I have purchased the land on the Jun 2015. It is almost 20 months has passed. Any updates about Settlements. I've been advised my Mirvac that it will be Mid to Late this year (2017). That means well and truly more than 24 months wait. All up including the build we are looking at 3 years wait. Would like to hear from others. thank you |
