Or you have already moved in? How did you go with the fences especially with the neighbours who have started with their build? GoaMumbai, I am building in Natural Drive? Have you already started your build? Who is your builder? Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 624Aug 11, 2014 9:49 am Hi Philo, The last few weeks not much has seemed to have happened - it's actually quite frustrating! We are just mainly waiting for electrical and floorings and a bit of a paint touch up. Our BC won't give me any idea on timeframes which is a total pain, as we need to give notice on our place we are in at the moment and put in annual leave etc. BC assured me that they will give us 4 weeks notice of move in date but to be honest, don't have a good feeling about that! Was hoping for completion early September but starting to lose hope on that. We'll see… I have sent a form off to council regarding the fencing - I need to get the owner's contact info so I can arrange it. But have a few quotes thanks to @hsv2ko. Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 625Aug 11, 2014 9:51 am Philo Congrats on your slab Courtney, the houses are coming up really fast and I am sure yours is now at frame/roof level by now. We just settled in stage 12 and hopefully we will be on-site in the coming month. Really feeling excited. Any update on your site Philo? Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 626Aug 11, 2014 11:36 am Tell me about it, not knowing when is the handover makes planning a bit hard especially if you have to give a considerable notice in the place where you are now. Hopefully they will keep their word and give you enough time. I have seen quite a number of builds go up really fast then they slow down or stop altogether. The build is in the final stages Courtney, they still have to do the showers, carpets and the garage. Then the driveway. I will most likely get the keys next month. Will have to start organising the fence Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 628Aug 15, 2014 7:45 pm All I can say 3 weeks to organize the internet for me lol tpg worst service a 3hr phone call followed by this week 2hr phone call to be told there is no home phone numbers available in our area atm and I would have to wait for nbn as its all a package with them. Ended up writing an email to cancel my plan to them haven't heard anything yet and called up iinet at 7pm by 10 am next day nbn was working and 2 days later they had the phone working. iinet by far has the best service I was over tpg. Just thought I let you guys know Also if you guys have any questions about anything feel free to send me a msg or put it on here and send me a private msg so if I can help I am more than happy to Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 630Aug 17, 2014 8:32 pm Oh its long lol I was going crazy and considering Vodafone isn't that good with service here on mobile made it even worse lol:) I haven't received pm so just check if it went thru as normally I get an email notifying me Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 631Aug 22, 2014 7:08 pm Philo Courtney How is the build coming along? Also brought land in Aston. To be honest im not sure what stage it is but it is the one with the rock retaining wall. Street is Euphoria and will be building with Henley. Haven't been told my site costs yet as i have tender in a couple of weeks. Anyone know what site costs normally are? am hoping it's under 20K. Thanks. Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 636Oct 23, 2014 1:58 pm shoaib Hi Guys, Hope everyone is doing well. Was talking to a builder today and was told that entire Aston is now Bush Fire Levy free or in other words there is no BAL costs anymore. I think this is fantastic. I am not building in Aston though. I am going to build in Mt Aitken and there I have to pay BAL costs which are coming to around $7000. Sounds like this is very high. Any one would like to comment whether BAL cost is that high? Best Regards Hi, My parents also built in Mt Aiken and i think they paid around $5K for the BFL although i could be wrong. So you can imagine the joy me and my partner had to find out we don't despite being 2 blocks away. Re: Building in Aston Craigieburn 638Mar 11, 2015 11:57 pm GoaMumbai Hows everyone's builds going? When are we required to put in fencing? Hi GoaMumbai, Build is about to start in next few days. I'm in Stage 13 . who's is your builder and what stage is your build at? not so sure about when fencing is required but Design guidelines state that mandatory fencing must be done within 6 months of occupation. I have noticed fencing being done close to lock-up stage. ta go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110571 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11035 |
