Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 07, 2013 8:07 pm HELP....We have selections on wednesday and I still cant decide on the kitchen cupboard colour. Went to our builders manufacturer on the weekend and my husband fell in love with a display in 'Stipple Seal' which is a laminex colour. It is in the basic range of our package which is good because then I can afford to upgrade things like pot drawers etcc but I think the colour is to pink/yellow toned??? Stipple smoke is more grey which fits in better with my grey/brown/black and white colour scheme but I cant decide without seeing it.... Any suggestions? Re: Help- kitchen cabinet colour 2Apr 07, 2013 8:18 pm I think you need to try to get your hands on the colour chips if you can, I would go to laminex and order them now, I have found they generally arrive within a day or two max... you need to have a look next to all your other choices. Re: Help- kitchen cabinet colour 6Apr 08, 2013 11:28 am oh, sorry!! I would definitely go with what you think goes with the overall colour scheme, so the stipple smoke? They are polyurethane "moss grey", pictures are on my blog, I know exactly how you are feeling about picking colours, this part of the process was at times causing me grief. Also have a look at real estate.com, go to their home ideas page then select kitchen, there are heaps of photos there to give you inspiration. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! The best thing you can do is go to some laminex showroom or just random kitchen stores and display homes in general. By seeing the colours in a full size kitchen, it makes it a lot easier. We picked light walls and floor, so we went with dark cabinets. Very happy we didn't go with a whiteish kitchen as it would have been too bland. EDIT: our benchtop and splashback is white as well, but the really dark cabinets really breaks it up nicely. Re: Help- kitchen cabinet colour 10Apr 08, 2013 10:29 pm I think we have settled on stipple seal (maybe)....at least this way I can get pot drawers etc.... 1rocky-love your kitchen...I dont think we get a choice of zinkworks though.... OneWheel - Your kitchen looks great..what is the colour of your laundry cabinets? I also like the paint you have chosen for the walls-what is this colour? The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 8587 Hi - thanks for your reply.
