Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 06, 2013 5:31 pm From many of your posts, it seems like a good site supervisor is key to a good building experience. We are thinking about asking for references for site supervisor, then if happy with them, specifically naming site supervisor in the building contract. Has anyone done this before, or tried to? http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Site supervisor specified in building contract 2Apr 06, 2013 6:55 pm Are you going with a company that has a couple of different ones? Re: Site supervisor specified in building contract 3Apr 06, 2013 6:58 pm Yes! http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Site supervisor specified in building contract 4Apr 06, 2013 7:01 pm I think sneeky references are the best. If you could somehow bump in to some folk who have used the various supervisors. Or perhaps the most senior in the company? Or perhaps the junior trying to impress and work their way up? Mind you, from reading this forum and talking to friends who've recently built you practically have to check everything yourselves anyway. But of course you want a good site sup who will follow up on all your requests. Re: Site supervisor specified in building contract 5Apr 06, 2013 7:09 pm Thanks Animal. Will see if I can arrange some bumping. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Site supervisor specified in building contract 6Apr 06, 2013 8:37 pm Problem is, if it a large company most supervisors are assigned to certain areas- ie: north, south, east, central etc. It might not be practical for them to give you one from a different area. Or what if that supervisor has or does leave before/ during your build?
