Haven't had much luck as the neighbouring block has dumped & compacted heaps of soil containing limestone so have got the council on it. Yesterday when I was at the block I noticed that our little retaining wall (the block next to us is slightly higher by 30cm) has cracks in it from top to bottom. We are building our garage against the retaining wall and just wondered whether anyone has encountered this? Will we be required to fix before construction? If so, do we have a leg to stand on with the developer of the estate because as yet no construction has happened on our block and the neighbouring block to suggest ground movement. Any ideas?
