And then go from there . That way you dont look crazy .lol Re: First home build with Dale Alcock in Aveley: Opinions pl 1042Jan 16, 2015 3:37 pm fancy pants So, ridiculously long and drawn out story short… We had a meeting with the Construction Manager from DAH. Some repairs are going to be re-done so they look much neater and less obvious to the eye, others probably aren’t (it’s up to us to make the final decision). DAH have stated that they want us to be happy in our new home and have asked if there is anything else they can do for us. It looks like anything else they could easily do has pretty much been taken care of e.g. painting, floor coverings, blinds, paving, wardrobe fit out etc. DAH will also reimburse us for other costs we’ve incurred as a result of ongoing work (e.g. re-sealing the tiles and grout) so this is a separate issue. We’re really confused about what is appropriate to ask for, especially in terms of the monetary value. We’re grateful that they’re willing to do something for us but we’ve been wracking our brains for a week trying to figure out what we should do. We have no guidelines to go by, except that I can’t have a new car (someone must have read my mind!). What would you ask for in our situation? Feel free to PM me with ideas if it’s easier. Perhaps it would be useful at this stage to seek some professional independent advice from a building inspector who can help guide you. We have a hobless shower and it appears there is no fall on the tiling so every.single.time we use the shower the water slowly creeps out and floods the bathroom - it has come to the point that we no longer use that bathroom. I can't access your photos but Im guessing your shower was hobless too? So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27739 hi guys. Please be nice. First time home builder in Qld.
