Actually, I have no idea. We saw it, shook our heads, documented the happy occasion with a couple of iPhone pics and then walked away. I did wonder if I should have kept it as a memento but then my other half pointed out that this would just be yet another example of me getting unnecessarily attached to things associated with this house. I pointed out that he wanted to keep our 'SOLD' sign which is essentially the same thing. But it did get me thinking, does someone come through and clean at some point? We have a lot of saw dust, empty drink cans and food wrappers, sand, broken bricks and debris (and now random turds) in our place. It really could use a decent sweeping. And possibly a good quality air freshener. Building with Dale Alcock Homes in Aveley Our thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63880 And yes, my pants are indeed fancy. Re: First home build with Dale Alcock in Aveley: Nasty surpr 310Oct 08, 2013 11:13 am Build is looking good fancy pants! Someone will come through at some point and sweep it up, although I personally would clean it up asap so to not having a turd on the ground at PCI. I'm more inclined to think it was kids that did that by the way...judging from the size of it, if I remember correctly the same thing happened to twiggens. They just took the term 'sh!ts and giggles' a little too literally. I've been fighting the urge to go sweep out the house myself but it's probably best that we leave it to DAH. I am looking forward to lock up though. I know we'll be spending a lot of time pressed up against the windows but at least it'll keep the ferals away! Fancy, you're lucky it's just poop on the slab, ours was a full bladder on the freshly plastered wall... not sure if dog or human I will never look at that spot in the theatre the same again! Re: First home build with Dale Alcock in Aveley: Nasty surpr 314Oct 08, 2013 11:23 pm Sadly, our beloved turd has moved on to greener pastures. Also missing today was the neighbour's wall. They've taken down the neighbour's garage wall and covered ours in plastic. I'm assuming it's an attempt to keep out the rain so that the rendering doesn't have to take longer than necessary. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It looks as though the brickies kept building after we had identified the issue so rather than just the original side wall DAH have had to take down part of the back wall as well. I hope our neighbours don't visit this week, it looks terrible. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ If they do visit, I hope they don't wander through our garage. It would appear that we have their entire wall in there! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I can't wait until this is all done and we both have our finished walls. Re: First home build with Dale Alcock in Aveley: Wall taken 316Oct 08, 2013 11:43 pm I'm sure the neighbours want the issue fixed as much as you do. I know I wouldn't want an unrendered wall right next to my house.... Good to see the issue getting resolved so quickly... That wall will be rendered and painted ASAP and then the neighbours will have a lovely new wall... Question is who has to get rid of all those bricks lol...
