Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 31, 2013 7:30 pm We are building with Henley and I can not get together the brick / render colour ... Finding it so hard to picture . I would really appreciate photo's of colour and what you have all chosen as I just can not picture it , its very frustrating as simmonds have an online site where you can pick and mix colours with your facade aand Henley have nothing. I am sick of drivng by places given by boral and austral and Henley dont show any pic's of finished houses , so you have no idea what your facade looks like with the colours , we are building the broadway facade. Please Please help. Thank you so much in advance. Re: Please Help 2Mar 31, 2013 11:04 pm Hi bec, have you asked to visit their pre-start room, usually builders have samples of the render, brick and roof colours, so you can mix and match? Our builder allowed us to visit the pre-start room whenever we wanted before our actual pre-start meeting. They had large samples that made the job of choosing colours much easier. Also visiting the dulux website might help, you can get an idea of colours... Good luck with your choices. My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: Please Help 3Apr 01, 2013 8:50 am Also - their display villages are good for this. I know in Qld they have a variety of outsides. Re: Please Help 4Apr 01, 2013 10:18 am Bec, are you leaning towards any particular brick? This might help others give suggestions on render and colorbond to match? Only thing we seem to like it Mulga - classic shake tile , seems that jasper gutters match mulga classic shake well. We are building the montana Q1 with the broadway facade , just wish I could see pic's , we have had our chosham app twice and I still am not happy, out tender is 17th of this month - April so I need to act now and quickly. I have seen several colours in cosham , just wish on a greater scale, also been to boral and got address , think I am a lost cause. lol Re: Please Help 6Apr 01, 2013 4:24 pm Bec, sorry is Mulga the brick?? I think you need to go through the brick addresses, and eliminate bricks you definitely don't like, and hopefully come across one you really like? That is what we did.... we will likely go for glenfern Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ with Dune render Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is another look that we liked, but have moved away from now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Please Help 9Apr 01, 2013 10:18 pm If you see a henley house, either display home or even just one they are building, you can ask them to match the colours. They will be able to look up the colours used on any of the properties they have built if you have the address. Picking one that you have seen and liked is always a good safe bet. Re: Please Help 10Apr 02, 2013 9:25 am bec, the brick is quite a 'cool' soft brown, with not much red in it. Yes, a little on the grey side. To post pics, you need something like a photobucket account. Then once the photos are on photobucket you paste the link that is displayed with the particular photo, into the message post. The bricks on the bottom house are probably Victorian Blue, in Cat 6. As Skyesong said, basing your choices from a house you have seen is always a good option. Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Please Help 11Apr 03, 2013 12:36 pm Thank- you , looks like I may need to give Henley a call and see if they can provide photos of the display homes they have build, think it may be better for me to pick a home that is complete that I like , only thing is they are all upgrades , which is frustrating. Re: Please Help 12Apr 03, 2013 12:38 pm I seem to like it matching and when I see a dark roof , different gutters, then different brick, just dont like it at all. Henley colours of the roof dot match the same as the gutters , ect . Only found one and that's jasper with the mulga roof tile, but can not find a brick that goes with it. Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
