The neighbour is elderly and I think scared of getting involved. In fairness to the neighbour, they may also have been unsure it was an actual theft. Plenty of trades coming and going, removing things that may not be quite right. The neighbour may not have wanted to involve the police if it was in fact an authorised removal. Don't stress about it. The site is insured and it will all be replaced. Save the stress for the things you need to stress about, there's plenty of those! Building is exhausting. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: PLEASE HELP!! 8Mar 31, 2013 9:17 am A general word of warning ... It would be wise to be careful about what information you post on this site. Photos, particularly those taken with smartphones often include quite precise location info. Certainly remove identifying info off plans. I saw one plan posted on this site that showed the location of an under-slab safe! People generally do not understand how much identifying information they give away online. Data inherent in images is one that I have the most trouble getting people to understand. My brother-in-law refused pointblank to believe it until I used an image of his posted on facebook from his iPhone to go directly to google maps and show him the location and time and date of the photo being taken. As he is a school teacher having his home address show up seemed to convince him. Re: PLEASE HELP!! 10Mar 31, 2013 11:27 am maximus A general word of warning ... It would be wise to be careful about what information you post on this I read this thread yesterday and thought the exact same thing. Even saying what street and lot number you are in the suburb your building in is dangerous and quite silly. Anyone can read these threads and if you know that particular area its pretty easy to follow people's progress and know exactly what is going on, eg kitchens being put in, ovens, flooring ect. It's really asking for trouble. We don't need to make it any easier for the crim's . I also think if your not a member you shouldn't be able to access people's photos. willow2012 , sorry to hear. Good to know your new neighbours was looking out for you though. I was concerned about this when I just read your post, however this site claims 'For those of you who are especially worried about people tracking you down, Facebook and Twitter strip EXIF data' --> which I understand is where the GPS info is located. So how were you able to determine the location if you don't mind me asking? I saw one plan posted on this site that showed the location of an under-slab safe! Very true. I had another account on here and posted pics and all sorts of our build. I made a conscious effort of stopping my posting just after lock up through to handover because I thought ANYONE could be scouting places to hit. A tip...I put window alarms on our hot water service and on the doors. They have the most ear piercing siren on them and would scare anyone away Sorry the kitchen was taken Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7171 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
