Great to see it come together so well for you. ![]() Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 123Dec 17, 2008 1:37 pm We have over taken you!! ![]() Looking good, hopefully there will be no more delays for you. Our roof timber only took a couple of days, so hopefully you have a roof before xmas. *fingers crossed* They may be cutting it fine though! Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 124Dec 17, 2008 4:57 pm Well today is the 2nd day & they seem to be steaming along with the timber, so yes the roof goes up quick. Although I doubt that we will have any colorbond this week.
Ok some photos I took this arvo... I love that you can get above your build and take the shot looking down on the house. ![]() It's Mrs Gadget to you thanks with my super extendable mtbiker legs ![]() Yes I agree it's great to be able to get a good overall profile, I think that's my favourite shot to see the progress by. Hubby said he was surprised that there weren't more angles - I think he's confusing it with the likes of Plunkett designs where they have hte extra decorative rooflines (which I honestly don't fancy - I'm a bit of a plain and simple person), but he liked them. Anyway still verandahs to go on and the patio / alfresco or whatever it's called. Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 127Dec 18, 2008 9:29 am It is looking great Pebble.
I love the look of the double brick, such a difference from how houses are built over here. Great looking land. Just the love the trees. We plan on putting up a patio or possibly 2 patios around our house later one. But having it built it is such a lovely way to be able to do it. At the moment they still have the black protective plastic on. So yes it will be very interesting to see the difference! Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 135Dec 20, 2008 8:31 pm Hmmm thie stove recess thing looked a bit narrow to me, I measured it, it's 51cm, on the plan it says 60cm. Soooo there seems to be a mistake somewhere - it's too narrow by 1 brick width.
Hmm either the lintel was too short or they misread the plan and saw "51cm linen cupboard" written on it, thinking that was the width of the kitchen one too. How wide is a normal oven? Can anyone with a standard oven let me know? I know our microwave is on the small side and it's about 48cm, so really I can't see how an oven would fit in that gap without being a tight squeeze (if at all).
