Besides who knows how long it could take for the right buyer to come along. I'm sick of living in limbo, so no more living with half the stuff away in boxes etc for me, we did that in Perth once for 9 months because we knew we wouldn't be staying for too long, but nah not any more. And I'm just really glad to be finally getting out of the shed! So is hubby because he can have "his' shed back! Excuse the elfs, here's the carpet... Lol I couldn't help myself I threw the "power stretcher" term at the carpet bloke and he was taken aback, they really don't expect people who aren't in the industry to know about them. But he was using a knee kicker no a power stretcher anyway. Re: Pebbles progress ...we get the keys on Wednesday, hoooraaaay 265Aug 03, 2009 8:03 pm Ohhh yeah, living in it and loving it. Some photos... Firstly the rock wall, 3/4 done and we have to go find some more rocks to finish it off! http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1220.jpg Just a pantry, I have never had one this big though! http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1213.jpg Kitchen, clean yet messy http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1192.jpg Dining, it's an outdoor setting though, a nicer one is on the wishlist http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1194.jpg Office, I am sitting there right now! http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1198.jpg Think I told you the home theatre would be a "scenery" room http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1199.jpg Main bed (cat sleeps on that rug) http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1202.jpg Guest room http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1206.jpg Daughters room http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1207.jpg Sons room http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp253/mtbpebble/IMG_1208.jpg Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 266Aug 03, 2009 10:49 pm Love that huge retaining wall. We need one of those of almost the same length and then repeated again on the other side of the house. Looks like you are getting well settled in. It's a lovely feeling isn't it. can't get over how tidy your kids rooms are. Can I have the secret??? I noticed you've got your bin tucked in what i assume is the dishwasher space too. Congrats on finally getting in. Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 267Aug 04, 2009 8:51 am It actually cost us $600 to get a bloke with a bobcat to dig the wall out all the way along (it was a slope before). Still much cheaper than say $20k that it might cost if you had the whole thing done by a professional and had to buy all the rocks etc. With the bedrooms I did make the beds, but I guess the secret is that the kids are too young to question the rules of putting toys away when they're finished playing! The bin is in the dishwasher space, there is provision for it in the cubpoard under the sink (power point etc) but we've never had one and don't find the need (well sometimes it would be handy). Still it's the perfect place for a bin, which makes me wonder, where do you keep your bin (everyone reading this)? Are you a bin in the pot draw person (such as my father in law) or bin in the cupboard under the sink? Or somewhere else in the kitchen that's handy and out of the way. Should start a rubbish bin thread! Wouldn't it be interesting to see everyones bin? Hmmm maybe I'm up a tad early and need another coffee Kex I never realized you needed that much of a retaining wall. We're settling in very nicely, albeit the kitchen took me a little bit to get used to (having been in the shed with not so much bench space and a faster cooking camping stove) but it's fantastic I love it, really like the layout, especially that island bench. Even the corner cupboard seems bigger / easier to get into compared to kithcens I've had in the past. Re: Pebbles progress ...living and loving 268Aug 04, 2009 8:59 am Wow Beautiful hun bet your so excited to be in John, Tarin and the Kids Built and moving in to the Regent Grande with Masterton homes http://thebrownsaremovingtothecountry.blogspot.com nothing to do with salespeole. you'd do well to read and ccomprehend the post before bashing away at the keys with some negative comment again. 4 5061 8 3960 5 4916 |
