I do have some confusing but good news then I'll hit you with the bad: We have started! Site cut and trenches started today. Apparently the SS didn't realise but his manager has our slab pour booked for next week so had to start ASAP. So yay! Now for the fun part... It seems our site may have been under engineered or cut incorrectly. I shouldn't speculate without having all the facts but it does seem strange that a 1.5m steep slope (from the road) wouldn't need a retaining wall... View from the back of our block to the road.
