I found this thread on google and was going to tell you about another thread where they painted furniture with the Zinnser BIN and then acrylic paint. . .but here is Stormy. . . who did it all on that very same thread! I was actually looking for some info on which paint to use for my timber paneling on the walls. . . I just put in some cheapo pine lining in the pantry and was wondering whether to paint with high-sheen acrylic or aquanamel (as it's such a large area, around 16sqm, I'm not up for painting with oil-based enamel). I have a 4 litre tin of the Zinsser BIN already. . . do I need to prime the pine before I paint? Like you all, we couldn't afford to furnish the house with new furniture when we moved in. . . we didn't get a driveway for 18 months, and it took us 2 years to replace the faded student sofas. I'm glad we had to wait though, as getting a whole new house was overkill enough. . . we didn't get to enjoy our new kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms etc. like you would if you were renovating, as they all came at once. . . but we've really enjoyed slowly getting our new furniture and driveway and landscaping, as it's all come slowly, we've been excited about and enjoyed every one. I'll try to find a brand name on the windows then do some searching. Here is a photo where you can see how worn they are. 2 7964 |
