Fingers crossed it actually happens this time. Oh and we are getting a new SS, that's the third one since we went to construction, not that any of them have got in contact with us mind you!!!! Can you tell I'm a little over this today?? building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: Redink in Trinity! another week and still no bricks 63Jul 16, 2013 11:43 am hahaha fingers crossed this week is THE week We had a SS change during brickwork but everything seems to be continuing on without any hiccups. Contact your CLO with some dates/times that you would like to meet your SS once the bricks start. If your SS is like ours they will put your mind at ease! Re: Redink in Trinity! another week and still no bricks 64Jul 16, 2013 2:01 pm Geez I really hope you get bricks this week! We don't have direct contact with our SS all contact is through our CCA. Apparently we will meet him couple weeks into brickwork Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 65Jul 19, 2013 6:37 pm Ok this is not funny anymore, went up to site, got a bin, toilet, lovely sign, all the excess sand has been cleared, but are there bricks??? hell no!!! Are you serious. That's a joke now Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 67Jul 19, 2013 8:53 pm Bugger, that totally sucks!!!! I am seriously getting cranky with RedInk & their lack of Communication & lack of getting stuff done atm....not only for your build but for all the rest of us waiting for stuff to happen Our RedInk Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64118&p=1004131#p1004131 ** Timeline Page 1 Moved In - 19.12.13 Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 68Jul 19, 2013 11:42 pm Hope you get some answers. Its frustrating when you get told one thing and then get another. I am trying to be patient - had our prestart in march and only just getting a slab this weekend. Been very slow with no indication why. Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 69Jul 20, 2013 12:47 pm Hi we are building with Redink as well but have just signed final plans and waiting. Apparently REDINK have about 240 homes on the go right now. I wouldn't be going ballistic on commencing Brickworks , slab or anything else. Do you seriously think worrying about it or a comment to a SS is going to free- up a bricky from somewhere or kick Midland Brick into action. On the other a guy we know was building when he to called up to the Persian Gulf, his girlfriend didnt follow up anything and he was clearly dropped to the bottom of the queue.( not with REDINK) Get the timeframes from them, as why they aren't sticking to them ask them why? There might be a very good reason for any delay. My gut feeling is that REDINK have been chasing market share and the volume of work is slowing up Building. The root cause for that I figure is their reputation, their designs, their awesome inclusions and the excellent pricing.( that's why they're building our home) A Crappy builder may be building your home quicker. Careful what you wish for . I don't want just anybody building my home and would be happy to wait for trusted tradies with whom they do consistant business and have offered continuity of work too. Just my thoughts guys. Saving money on quality stuff done right firstime Our Build Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66810&p=1094349#p1094349 Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 70Jul 20, 2013 12:57 pm Yes well this is all fine. Build 1000 houses for all we care, but have enough staff and tradies to cope with it all. Furthermore by posting on this forum and contacting our ss directly we got things moving along. If you aren't proactive and involved throughout the build, delays and mistakes are more likely to happen. Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 71Jul 20, 2013 12:59 pm Don't worry its not only redink with delays. Many builders are busy and lack of brick layers slows things down for everyone. I think the main problem cedes is upset about is fact they keep lyi,ng to get and lack of communication etc. Theres no one to blame for that other than admin staff. Sure they are busy but it takes 10 seconds to type 'Im sorry we are experiencing extreme delays, you bricks wont be there for 3-4 weeks'. Rather than ignore or just keep telling ****** Im sure once theres bricks and bricklayers things will feel much better (I feel for you but it does get better). Plus this is your thread if you wanna complain everyday then your free to do so I also agree you have to be thorough with paperwork and watch your build like a hawk. No one will pick up mistakes as well as the owner. To SS and admin is another house they don't know exactly whats in our heads etc. Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 72Jul 20, 2013 1:48 pm Wandin Valley, the whole point is that RedInk's communication with clients sucks! (For me it has only been since we have gone into Construction) I don't doubt that they have heaps of houses on the go BUT currently quite a few of us have had issues with the lack of Customer Service, we are all paying alot of money & should at least have an open line of communication not the stalling / non answering that seems to be happening atm. All I want is for someone to give me a rough time line as to what is happening, I was advised that my bricks would be delivered last week - didn't happen & I didn't get an email giving me a polite "sorry, bricks have been held up, will let you know what's happening when we know more" type email either, the same as cedes does. Leanne, well said!!!!! Cedes, feel free to vent as much as you like, it's totally better to be doing this here than at staff at RedInk (I may change my mind on that one though! ) Our RedInk Build Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64118&p=1004131#p1004131 ** Timeline Page 1 Moved In - 19.12.13 Re: Redink Trinity, guess what???? still no bricks :-( 73Jul 20, 2013 5:48 pm Thanks for the sympathy guys, and Wandin valley, I've had nothing but great things to say about Redink, until we went to construction, then all communication dropped off, and it's not the delay as such that is annoying, as you say if they don't have brick layers than what can you do? It being told every week for the past three weeks that the bricks would be there this week and bricklayers to start the following week. There are only so many times you can take being told that without starting to lose patience!!! Also concerning us is the fact that we are now on our 3rd site supervisor, the last one only lasting a matter of weeks, surely that is not normal??? Our poor CLO has been great, she is always very prompt to get back to me and obviously she can only relay the information that she is told, I'm just getting really upset at the ****** and as Charlie says, it would be nice to get at least a time line of what you can expect. Anyway vent over for today, roll on Monday and lets see what answers we get.... better not be that our bricks will arrive this week and bricklaying the following week!!!! :-0 building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: Redink Trinity, this weeks update. 74Jul 22, 2013 3:49 pm Ok this is the update, our CLO contacted the building manager and scheduling manager to find out what is going on, apparently the bricks and final things were always going to be delivered this week, the scheduling manager is going to try to get them to site asap. The construction manager advises that they have a bricklayer team completing a job at present and they are then booked to come to us straight after (if everything is delivered) so they should be starting brickwork at the beginning of next week. Sounds a bit more positive, fingers crossed everyone!!! building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: Redink Trinity, this weeks update. 76Jul 22, 2013 5:02 pm Yeah feeling much better this week, I just hope it actually happens!!! building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: Redink Trinity, this weeks update. 77Jul 22, 2013 8:24 pm That's good news cedes!!!!
