We found a pile of sand and concrete in our back garden a couple of days ago. Guess who's building the only house that it could have come from? And guess who's denying responsibility?! There's a redink house behind us and to the side. It's the only plot with a hole dug on it (the one behind us is being bricked whereas this one only had the pad poured at the weekend), and there are tyre tracks coming from there on to our land! There's three pieces of concrete in it, including one that is about a metre long!! We are having our fences installed tomorrow - god knows how we are going to move the concrete!! Redink have blatantly said it wasn't them that put it there. Also, we have to have a window replaced as it wasn't made correctly and they kept on bricking rather than waiting for the new window, which meant the window they did replace the wrong window with had to be made in a particular way, so its different to the window it butts against. Anyway, that was getting fitted on Thursday afternoon. A week after we made the appointment they now tell me that they can't do it as I want them to come at 2. Tempted to tell them to stick their window and just put up with what we have. Email it to them and ask how they believe it is not their issue. Hello! It's been a long road hasn't it?! Don't know about you, but we feel like it's home already - even though there's mess everywhere! So, I guess it has all been worth it! I discovered today that my laundry door is at least 8mm out - looks like the leaning tower of Pisa, when it's open. And the laundry cupboard doors - one of them slides open - presumably because the floor's not level, I don't know?
