Congrats Mandy sounds like the last couple of weeks has been as crazy for you as it had for us lol we've had 11 trades in and out in two weeks plus moving and cleaning our rental can't wait to see some pictures. I agree by the time we are all finished we all deserve a medal to he honest id be happy with a few hours more sleep. Sound like your colour scheme is similar to ours lol people must of thought I was crazy doing colour selections we wanted our colour scheme to be browny/grey but not grey and not brown.

Flooring choices look great down, and really match nicely together. You must be pleased with that outcome.

The carpet is a lot browner than it looks in the photo! I don't actually like them both together - love them both individually - but hey ho, I'll get used to it.

and John loves the flooring and it's really nice to see him happy about something!

Love the different wood colours! !!

We were disappointed with our carpet as we thought it was grey too....it looks cream in the house!

Weird isn't it, how things look so different in situ compared to in the shops? If you're like me you spend hours and hours and hours choosing something, and then it looks different anyway! Might as well close your eyes and point at something and have that!

We don't like our blinds either!! The shutters look nice, the venetians (is that right, the horizontal slatty ones! :))

look okish but I'm not in love, and the rollers are disappointing. We chose something to blend in, not be a feature, but hmm, I dunno, they just look sh1t! At least one has to be refitted because of the terrible bricklaying and plastering as it hangs at an angle, and I feel that the two small ones in the dining area have gaps that are too large - but that might be better once they are refitted. They're just a bit bleurgh. Hopefully they will look better once there's furniture and other colours in there.

I'm not in love with the paint colours I chose either, but that's ok, it'll need repainting in a year, and I don't hate them!

I have yellow in one bedroom, blue in another, and green in the library. The white's nice, haha! (Lexicon quarter strength - recommend that, although the paint shop staff said people often have trouble using it - I can't remember why - but my super-duper painting and decorating husband had no trouble!

Oh that sucks about the window coverings! We ended up going plantation shutters for theatre, main bedroom and ensuite and rollers for the rest. We first picked great roller blinds to blend with wall, but then changed to white to match doors and skirting...hope it was the right decision!!! I'm sure it will all come together with furniture etc, when do you move in?

Shutters are so expensive! I think if we do t get used to what we have we might save up and replace some of them with shutters.

We're moving alot of stuff this weekend and today - will see how far we get! John thinks we'll be sleeping there tomorrow...

How exciting!!!! Good luck with it all!! And yes, shutters are not cheap, but we are lucky as a friend owns a shutter business which made it a lot more affordable

Is your blind company actually doing something about the blinds in the wonky windows? One of ours is really bad due to the walls not being straight but they said there is nothing they can do?
