My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 62Apr 12, 2013 10:33 am Hi Jibs, Ironstone is definately blue grey...but I really like our roof now and wouldn't change it. I panicked at first because it looked different than I imagined it would (pretty much the whole exterior colour scheme looked different than I thought) but I love it now and don;t feel like it is too blue. Our front door is pretty much the same colour as the roof and part of our render and I was worried it would all be too 'matchy matchy' but I'm happy with it now. I'm not sure what anotec Dark grey is like, in google images it looks similar to iron stone - I think it will look really nice together. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 63Apr 12, 2013 3:01 pm Hi Kat, what's the building cost for you in total? Hope you get the key soon.. same to me.... Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 65Apr 15, 2013 2:35 pm Well...the ss said last week, final inspection Tuesday morning, keys that afternoon. We haven't heard from him today, so hope that it still the plan ( we're packing our house and getting ready to move). Hes meant to call us today to let us know what time tomorrow. There is still a lot of work to be done, hardly anything from the list we got after the first handover inspection, so they better be having a busy day today getting it all done. The painter made a real mess of our front door, he's had about 3 weeks to fix it and it still hasn't been touched. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 66Apr 15, 2013 4:14 pm I am so angry right now. I emailed the CLO to check that it was ok to bring a bank check with us tomorrow when we pick up the keys (we have a small balance to pay not covered by our finance) she replied back just now saying that she's a little confused as to why we are coming on Tuesday to get the keys??? And now the ss wants to make it wed.!!!! I take back what I have said about being happy with a choice to build with redink, since our first handover, 12working days ago, they have just turned into a complete joke...no communication at all, why not just be honest about the date we are going to get the keys so we can plan accordingly? Some of us have have busy full time jobs that we need to schedule around. We've already started packing up our flat in preparation to move tomorrow afternoon. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 67Apr 15, 2013 4:16 pm Just tell them sorry but you've organised the time off and it needs to be done tomorrow. Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 68Apr 15, 2013 4:23 pm Yep, that's what we have said, we also hired a delivery truck for tomorrow, so we are moving! They say they can only book the cleaners for Wednesday as they are not available Tuesday....but we're not buying that, they can get Scott Park down there to clean it! He harps on about customer service, well show us! Waiting on a call or email back now. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 69Apr 15, 2013 4:30 pm I'm sure they have more than one cleaning company! Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 70Apr 15, 2013 4:41 pm Exactly! They are now saying we can do the handover tomorrow morning as planned but will need access to the place wed....to clean I guess. I've just asked that they find another cleaner and do it Tuesday. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 71Apr 15, 2013 5:13 pm Oh no don't be saying this. This is what I am dreading. I hope they sort it out for you. I also hope they are not taking on more that they can handle. I was told by the salesman that they don't. We'll see. Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 72Apr 15, 2013 5:25 pm Hi Rex, I think it's just who you deal with, I think the main problem is that our ss left part way through and our build just got lumped with our current ss who doesn't have time with all the other builds he was already looking after. I don't expect we'll be getting the handover I had been thinking in my head....red bows on the front door etc but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 73Apr 15, 2013 11:32 pm good news that you can still move in but it might be a tad awkward with cleaners in the day after that sucks big time! I was looking forward to all the red bows etc for you as well! Hoping for an overnight miracle good luck with the move Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 74Apr 16, 2013 7:34 am Ask cleaned to come later in week once you've unpacked. They can clean up then haha Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 75Apr 16, 2013 11:48 am We met the ss this morning at 7am and he had everything under control he even has the cleaners coming to do the super clean this afternoon. We really should just speak to him instead of our CLO . The painter was there fixing some of his paint work, so things are looking up again. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...Countdown to Keys! 76Apr 16, 2013 9:59 pm Nice to hear, well done enjoy the hard work you are no doubt still doing right now Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...All moved in! 77Apr 24, 2013 5:38 pm We're all moved in and it's slowly starting to feel like home. Bamboo floors went down yesterday and I love them! Painting is also all finished. Our cats not happy about the move, he's not quite himself, we keep finding him in really strange places, tody he keeps sleeping in the bathroom sink. Right now he's fast asleep on the vanity, I'd normally get him down, but at least he's finally relaxing instead of freaking out over every sound. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...All moved in! 79Apr 24, 2013 6:15 pm Hmm, I think it must be an iPad issue...I'll upload more pic when I'm in front of a PC. Anyway, we still have few issues that need sorting. The painter came back to "fix"the lousy paint job he did on the front door, but its still got sand stuck in it so the ss got a different painter to come take a look and he is going to re do it, but we are still waiting for that. We are getting replacement pantry doors as not only did the painter do a really bad job on them, the wood frame was faulty...again we are still waiting. And also still waiting for the locksmith the change our lock (this is meant to happen at handover )...so right now if we don't lock the dead loack, the construction key can open our front door. I'm pretty annoyed that we are still waiting for these issues (plus others that I can't even be bothered writing about now) to be fixed. I was a nightmare client and I swear they have a "bad client gift" the basket of goodies was so stingy. Packet of pasta and sauce, box of Favourites, one bottle of sparking with 2 glasses, builder brand coffee mugs, two packs of crackers and a bottle of jam. Maybe that's the norm but it seems pretty stingy to me. So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights. I'm planning on putting deck lights along the outside edge of a large deck.
