Attic conversion sounds like a great idea for storage, if it's easy to access you will use it for sure and if it's safe and if you have kids you can send them up there, like a treehouse Re: FH's Custom Build 842May 16, 2014 8:30 am It certainly sounds like your new home meets your lifestyle needs so well. Re: FH's Custom Build 845May 27, 2014 1:54 pm Looks beautiful, Fairmont. Love the gate, and so glad the right door is now on your garage. Re: FH's Custom Build 846May 30, 2014 2:42 pm It all looks fantastic. I love your frontage. It is just gorgeous with those dark bricks and white mortar. So glad to see you're enjoying your home. BTW, thanks for the tip. I think I may have got somewhere using it. Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. Did you use Austral Cobalt bricks? What type of mortar did you use? Thanks!! Mortar is brighton lite with white sand. The garage and trims are surfmist. Actually I used the metricon online visualiser to pick my choices and it was pretty spot on with the finished product Re: FH's Custom Build 849Jun 25, 2014 4:24 pm Thanks, it looks great! We are currently organising to get some lawn laid in our garden, we wanted to wait till the weather got warmer.
Today I decided to paint a wall in our kitchen, it's blackboard paint which the kids should love. Re: FH's Custom Build 851Sep 04, 2014 10:47 am Love the blackboard paint wall Your vanity (and home in general) is looking lovely. I think lawn is going to have to be one of the first things we start on! I just came on because I was scrolling Facebook this morning when the fairmont homes page popped up in my newsfeed with some pictures from that competition. I'm pretty sure one of those pictures was the front of yours, good luck Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. I really did not want to enter but I could not look a gift horse in the mouth. 5 grand will go a long way in our non existent landscaping budget. If we are successful I will be back drumming up support, ha ha Thanks deluxes. I have never painted before so very proud of myself. You will be fine with lawn in summer as long as you water it. I just did not want to put it in over winter. We have before and it just became a mud bowl, impossible to keep the kids off. Re: FH's Custom Build 854Sep 04, 2014 6:57 pm Love your blackboard wall. Gives a great contrast. I love my monochrome theme. It's suits me very well and I can throw about whatever colours I want and they all look good, in my opinion of course. Nice entertainment unit too. Oh, and hope you win the competition. Re: FH's Custom Build 855Sep 04, 2014 8:02 pm Looks great! I scourer gumtree, eBay and Greys too. Love the Freedom stock clearance they have from time to time on Greys especially...not that I've bidded on anything yet but my sister has and got a gorgeous drum coffee table for less than half price! I am yet to bring colours in but I have found some soft furnishings that I like, just need the money Re: FH's Custom Build 857Sep 05, 2014 9:01 pm Yes, what money couldn't buy us! Still, we have our lovely new homes. Decoration can wait. Re: FH's Custom Build 858Sep 11, 2014 9:08 pm We do Lucinda! Finally I am happy with the kitchen, did not like the plain white splashback at all. Cheap fix too Re: FH's Custom Build 859Nov 29, 2014 7:47 pm Well we have finally done some landscaping and the kids now have so megrass to play on, yippee!
Ideally along this side we will have a pool. That goes in the 5 - 10 year plan... Back garden which will have swings and trampoline, out of sight. I am going to put fruit trees in the garden bed Re: FH's Custom Build 860Nov 29, 2014 7:56 pm Not sure if you remember my chandelier but here it is in pride of place.
I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 26289 6 43100 Thanks NativeZen! I can't wait to start landscaping, though it's going to be a while away yet. No movement on site yet as of the weekend. Hoping to see some earthworks… 3 2160 |
