Browse Forums Building A New House Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 361Jul 31, 2013 10:57 pm Oh and came across a mistake in colour of grout in kitchen splashback. tiles are dark grey and grout is white, unsure if it is our mistake or tiler's until i look through our selections paperwork. hoping it is not our mistake or i am gonna be rather annoyed at myself. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 362Jul 31, 2013 11:35 pm It must have been awesome to finally get to walk through your house Hachy! Hopefully the tilers have made the mistake and it gets fixed for you. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 363Jul 31, 2013 11:41 pm Hope it wasn't your mistake. Nothing worse than the blame you put on yourself when building hey? It's one thing to buy the house like that another to have built it. Glad your are back and able to supervise now. Hope it goes well. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 364Aug 01, 2013 8:50 am Hope the grout issues are resolved quickly. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 365Aug 03, 2013 8:58 am a few pics. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 366Aug 03, 2013 5:22 pm Looking awesome hachy! it is great to see some pictures! I am glad the grout issue is not your fault, although the way it is still looks really good. Has your painting started yet? I see your electrical stuff has been done, for some reason we are still waiting for ours to get done, I thought maybe it was because our painting isn't quite finished but they have done yours so who knows? Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 368Aug 04, 2013 9:56 am That looks great hachy the timber is really nice. We have found that in our estate a few of the smaller ones have taken over ours. Not long now though Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 369Aug 04, 2013 7:07 pm Superb front! Love the timber. Kitchen looks great too. The grout looks fine to me, but if you have something different on the paperwork, ask them to change it. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 370Aug 04, 2013 7:45 pm are the bricks going to have some coverings or render on the front, or is that how it will look? It was rather muddy and master 3.5 loved jumping in it. We are worried how expensive landscaping quote will come back even though we went fairly simple. Whilst there we noticed the painter was there yayy. Sorry for not catching up much on everyones threads, been a bit busy. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 374Aug 06, 2013 9:12 am Painting! Yay. Can understand you must have lots to do--how is your temporary accommodation? Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 375Aug 06, 2013 9:23 am zub13 YAY...nearly finished It looks great and I love your kitchen. Feel free to wander through our house at any time hachy it will be great to have another pair of eyes looking!! i almost did wander over there yesterday but there was a truck dropping off the colourbond i think and a white van(possibly the brickie). i might see if i can go by myself on the weekend. Gristy are the bricks going to have some coverings or render on the front, or is that how it will look? that is how it is suppose to look except the render and timber will be getting painted. _lucinda Painting! Yay. Can understand you must have lots to do--how is your temporary accommodation? actually the temporary accommodation is fairly good, no enclosed fences though so got our fencing contractor to come to this property and put up temporary fencing for our pooch. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 378Aug 06, 2013 1:19 pm looks great hachy, I bet your little guy loved the mud Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 379Aug 08, 2013 9:27 am got a bit depressed yesterday, received a final bill via email. it also stated that completion may be august but to me it still looks like there is a bit to do, still need to finish painting, do perimeter paving and driveway, lay floor tiles and carpets. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 380Aug 08, 2013 9:59 am It's amazing how quickly things do get done though, so perhaps they are on track to finish this month. Bills are never welcome, but it is a sign that it's all on the last stretch now, so that's good.
