We are doing flooring etc after handover Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 402Aug 18, 2013 10:53 pm I thought they were white and as you say the lighting distorting the colour. As for the front I see where you are coming from but it still looks lovely Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 403Aug 19, 2013 8:23 am Fabulous, Hachy. Everything is coming along so quickly, and looks so good. What colour is the front--it looks great to me. And happy birthday. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 411Aug 21, 2013 9:45 pm Don't see it being finished this month seeing as today is the 21st of the month and nobody has been there all week. tiles and carpets need laying and also paving around house and driveway need doing. air con unit also needs to go on. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 412Aug 22, 2013 6:41 am Sounds really close now, though. Hope there are no delays. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 413Aug 22, 2013 12:39 pm The carpet and tiles will take a few days (tiles mainly, carpet can go down in a few hours), air con within 1 day, paving might be 2 days but some of the trades may work simoultaneously. So it's definitely possible that it'll all be done by the end of next week... if they get a move on now! I know that feeling. You still have over a week left anything is possible Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 415Aug 22, 2013 3:02 pm DavCar13 It is frustrating when your house is just sitting there and they are not working on it isnt it? I know that feeling. You still have over a week left anything is possible Building a house and patience are 2 things that dont go together. very fustrating just having it sit there but not anything you can do about it. The pavers are not yet on site but even if they were i doubt it would get done anyway with all the rain we have had. Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 416Aug 22, 2013 3:15 pm Is it still raining down there? It's so dry here, I forget that it rains elsewhere. Hope the rain doesn't delay my start, provided we do in fact get released for construction on Friday. Hope the rain doesn't delay my start, provided we do in fact get released for construction on Friday. yep it has rained every day bar 1 since we moved back i reckon. i know you forget what rain is when you live in the remote parts of australia, i think we saw rain about 6 times in 8 months whilst in roxby which apparently is more than usual, they say it only usually rains twice a year there. crossing my fingers and toes for you being released today Re: chandler alfresco in the barossa 418Aug 23, 2013 3:27 pm Yeah, rain is an oddity! The bureau forecasts rain, but the forecast changes before there's a drop. Still, there has been much more rain here in the past few years. Trouble is we tend to have the average rainfall in one deluge and then it's dry again. Thanks Hachy. I'll post as soon as I find out.
