Re: Classic style weatherboard Melbourne - Handover Today! 556Dec 10, 2013 1:57 pm Arghhhhhh the cooktop (oven/stove) which was being fitted today has a fault, as in its been knocked or bumped either in the warehouse or transit so much so that it won't fit in the cavity. Waiting to hear what that means. *sigh* My Hamptons build (completed): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63370 Moved in Wednesday 11th Dec 2013 Front landscaping completed June 2016 Re: Classic style weatherboard Melbourne - Handover Today! 557Dec 10, 2013 2:38 pm OMFG the built in microwave doesn't fit My Hamptons build (completed): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63370 Moved in Wednesday 11th Dec 2013 Front landscaping completed June 2016 Re: Classic style weatherboard Melbourne - Kill me 558Dec 10, 2013 2:52 pm Don't stress ... they will fix it .... you're nearly there which makes it worse I think. Stay strong For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! Re: Classic style weatherboard Melbourne - Kill me 559Dec 10, 2013 6:18 pm Thanks McLaren. Exactly. Everything just goes nuts in that last week. So, they got the oven in & Electrolux are coming out tomorrow to assess it all. If there's a problem with it, it will be replaced. Then, when they went to fit the built in microwave it wouldn't fit. Oh great! It has a surround on it about twice the width of the cavity. Even if they took surround off the legs won't fit. Cabinet maker got a call & he reckons it sounds like the wrong microwave was delivered. So Highview to follow up. I was stressing when it looked like no oven or no micro & moving in tomorrow. So we did handover, no choice really, with those things noted as still outstanding.
