Look forward to hearing how it goes from here. We're at tender stage with Rawson at the moment. How long ago was that for you? Do you have a blog? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Our new home with Rawsons - we have a slab! 23Jul 26, 2013 9:02 pm We had our first tender in jan and then due to issues with bank and a low valuation we had to shave some things off the tender and then the bank wanted a signed contract, it all seemed to take forever. Color selections and any variations add time, we had about 70 odd variations. Now that we have a slab we hope things will move quickly. I think it depends on which office you deal with as well. Re: Our new home with Rawsons - sooooo frustrated 27Nov 10, 2013 11:32 am So we are supposed to have PCI on wednesday 13th and handover 16th november, still so much to be done ie laundry bench and sink and splash back, replace pantry doors, pull out bin, appliances, taps, toilets, shower screens, hot water, rainwater tank and 90 % of electrical and carpets some howi don think it will happen. I will never build again. Rant over. Thanks Re: Our new home with Rawsons - sooo frustrated 28Nov 13, 2013 1:46 pm PCI didnt even happen, so feed up with it..... Never again Re: Our new home with Rawsons - never again will i build 29Nov 13, 2013 4:00 pm Allow me to offer a good excuse to rant ... ... however, given that the first post was in March & it's November, aren't you pretty close to finishing and yet they've not used the 9 months the contract says they'll take? I'm wondering if my expectations of building was lower in the first place; we've not got a slab yet & we first paid our tender fee in March 2012, however I'd still consider building again even though it's been a slog (although I think I'd do it differently ... I think no project-home builders if I were ever to do it again, and an architected design pimped around a half-dozen builders). That sucks! Hope it all works out.
