Hi all
I am getting a little frustrated at some of the costings that my builder is providing me. Surprises surprise
I got my quote for conduits with blank face plate for wall mounting TV's. Came back with a figure which I was ok to pay but not 100% happy.
After the first quote, I asked for a few more conduits (thread http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63187&p=986290#p986290) The price was $87 which sounds about right. So I questioned the original quote and got the following message
'The price for the blank faceplates is correct @ $87.00ea.
You have added 10 of these to the Home.
The price is for the plate with the conduit thrown in otherwise the plate is not usable'
So to run a conduit between a wall mounted tv and other electrical devices will cost $176 and a conduit from the ground through to the ceiling is $87.
I dont understand their costing? An extra 1m of conduit and labour is half the price? Has anyone had a similar problem?
