The back wall in my garage is on the boundary line and has a paling fence (and an established house) behind it. My new neighbour on the side has just told me he noticed that the painter hasn't painted the gutters on that back wall. The gutters are zincalume and have been painted everywhere else. Should I be concerned/raise this as an issue - does the paint protect the gutters from rust - or is this a cosmetic issue only? I can understand why the painter didn't do it as he would probably have needed to climb on the roof and hang upside down like an acrobat in order to do it but the neighbour seemed shocked that I wasn't horrified about it so I thought maybe it's a problem.
If it is an issue, is there an easy solution? Like taking the gutter down, painting it and then putting it back up?
