Are they for real?? Does it really take that long, we are in a rental that is a couple of years old and has all the opticomm connections already here. I could understand if it was a brand new place but it's not! Line just needs to be tagged to them Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5187Dec 28, 2015 10:29 am Hi peeps, Had a quick question for all you generous peeps out here. We would like to get a bamboo fence at the back and a matching colour bond on the sides. Sounds crazy, but missus wants to create a certain look which needs a a bamboo fence on the rear . Now my question is, are neighbours obliged to share/pay for a bamboo fence or is it just a colour bond that anyone is obliged to pay for? Also, I'd really appreciate it, if you could please give me a rough ball park estimate for my fencing. Dimensions of our block are 16 x 31. Thanks in advance. Regards. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5188Dec 28, 2015 7:32 pm Can anyone recommend a building inspector? Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5189Dec 28, 2015 7:52 pm kageanrage Can anyone recommend a building inspector? A friend of mine is using the services of h n k ryan, charges are $595 / inspection. He is having 2 inspections, 1 each at frame completion & PCI. I'm sure there are plenty more out there. Would be good to know if anyone has used a particular inspector and had a positive experience Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5191Dec 28, 2015 10:53 pm Reddevil, your neighbour behind you should always go half in the fence, unless of course if they cannot agree with the type of fence. You might be better off with colorbond on the back instead and just cover your side with bamboo covering. Not many would be ok with bamboo I would imagine. (Just throwing it out there). $395 Fixed Priced Landscape Plans for DA M: 0435 127 244 | W: bluegumdesign.com.au | E: info@bluegumdesign.com.au Residential | Commercial | Industrial Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5192Dec 28, 2015 10:56 pm kageanrage Thanks for the suggestion, homerun. I had Byron from Houspect do mine and I was very happy with him. He knew his stuff and was very thorough. $395 Fixed Priced Landscape Plans for DA M: 0435 127 244 | W: bluegumdesign.com.au | E: info@bluegumdesign.com.au Residential | Commercial | Industrial Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5193Dec 28, 2015 10:58 pm Brahma Bull kageanrage Thanks for the suggestion, homerun. Thanks BB, I guess we'll just go with your advice . I'll write to Camden council to get my neighbour's addresses. Also, when do I have to start worrying about contacting a landscaper? We are at least a couple of months away from a handover. Thanks again. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 5198Jan 05, 2016 10:44 am Hi peeps, Just got the information regarding my neighbors from Camden council and I'm a bit surprised with one of them . My adjacent block is still with Leppington Pastoral company, the same company from which we bought our land (I'm guessing everyone bought from them). I'm struggling to understand as to why they would just keep one block and sell rest of them. Have they done that in other streets/releases? FYI ours is a builder block and we only got it through a land and home package. Any pointers peeps? Thanks in advance . Although I may be completely wrong but it could have something to do with the underground train route. In August last year, OP sales office sent letters to everyone whose land could potentially be affected by the train route. They were given option to rescind their contract and all the monies paid will be refunded in full. So I am assuming it might just be one of them and the developer bought the block back. We are currently renting in OPT while our build is happening and our rental was built over 2 years ago, but 2 blocks directly opposite us were only sold a few weeks ago, rather than having been sold back when the others in our street were.
