Thank you for your interest in the South West Rail Link Extension Corridor Preservation project.
You have registered to receive updates about the proposed transport corridor, which was on display for public consultation between 28 April and 29 August 2014.
During the initial stakeholder engagement process we consulted with stakeholders and the wider community on the proposed transport corridor and core station locations, to help us plan for the future public transport needs of Western Sydney.
Feedback from this consultation along with environmental, land use and engineering investigations has helped to identify a recommended transport corridor for the southern section of the South West Rail Link extension. This section extends from Leppington to Bringelly and Bringelly to Narellan. Following the 2014 consultation, we are also investigating a study area from Narellan to the existing T2 South Line.
Transport for NSW is now inviting comments and feedback on the southern section of the proposed South West Rail Link extension. This includes:
1. The recommended corridor from Leppington to Bringelly and from Bringelly to Narellan
2. The study area from Narellan to the T2 South Line.
We invite you to participate in the public consultation by providing comments and feedback to help further refine a corridor for preservation. The consultation period is between 6 June and 20 July 2015, extending over a six week period.
To have your say, provide your comments and feedback to:
· Email: swrlecp@transport.nsw.gov.au, or
· Call: 1800 263 882.
Following the initial consultation in 2014, we received community feedback requesting for the northern section of the South West Rail Link Extension to be coordinated with the planning and consultation for the Outer Sydney Orbital corridor investigation process, this is now underway. For information on the Outer Sydney Orbital corridor investigation visit the project webpage at: http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/projects/oso-corridor.
Transport for NSW will also continue working with the Australian Government on corridor options to serve the Western Sydney airport at Badgerys Creek and the Broader Western Sydney Employment Area.
