Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1065Dec 11, 2013 5:29 pm hassanbegg Mick91 The exact same block as we have is $46k more. We haven't even got a mortgage yet. Cant complain I can imagine that Mick, what's your lot number if you don't mind me asking also has your house started building I just realised the same size blocks dont have retaining walls at the back like ours. Oh well. We are 5270 in 5C. Supposed to register in June but doubt it. Still a long way off even starting to build. Going out this weekend to have a look around, i usually look at the progress every few months. Cant wait to eventually start building though. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1069Dec 11, 2013 7:34 pm crosso every one see the prices on the blocks in 2d its like 390k for 600sq on another note every one should at least 3 months to there registration such delays Yes crosso, I called oran park office this morning to double check if they made a mistake with pricing but Kim said no its not a mistake and yes prices are gone up a bit. And I found its not a bit but nearly 1 hundred K more than what we paid in march this year. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1071Dec 11, 2013 7:51 pm crosso I couldnt belive it we bought 540sq for 262500 bit of profit cant complain just.wish it would register its at land titles wating on requisition what ever that is If your location is good then 540sq I believe is not less than 310 or 320 I guess Because in 2d which is on a slight hilly area and 540 Sq is listed for 340 and 341 Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1072Dec 11, 2013 7:53 pm crosso I couldnt belive it we bought 540sq for 262500 bit of profit cant complain just.wish it would register its at land titles wating on requisition what ever that is Our was with land title office with the same status called requisition and in total it took exactly 2 weeks for registration. What's your lot number and who r you building with crosso. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1073Dec 12, 2013 12:32 pm Thanks for the update HB! Soon, hopefully. I believe the painter was fixing up some of our stuff yesterday so they may come back again today. We will drop by on Friday as well to see if they have done much more to the house (really all that is left is painting the front, and electrical). Stephen and I were talking about the prices last night. I thought it must have been a mistake as well. At first we thought maybe the blocks had a lovely outlook onto the water, or might have been a larger size...but they just look like a regular block to me. I'm glad we bought when we did because we certainly wouldn't be able to afford it if 2D is anything to go by!! Kristen & Stephen - Built the Eden Brae Drysdale 27 at Oran Park (We're in!!!) Blog: "Race to Oran Park" - updated 25.8.2014 Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1074Dec 12, 2013 3:01 pm Maybe because they are a little larger they are for duplex style housing or units or something? that would explain why they cost that much more... Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1076Dec 12, 2013 4:42 pm 2D is just right behind my street and last night after work as we went to visit our lot and we took the apportunity to visit 2D as well, and I was like what the hell, excuse my language because Kim from Op office said they have a special hill view that is why more expensive but I didn't find it as different, its nearly the same as mine and many others. Guys prices are gone up, I know it's bit hard to digest but this is the fact. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1078Dec 12, 2013 4:52 pm crosso 2b registered today woooohoooo finally Waooo congrats mate Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 1079Dec 12, 2013 6:36 pm hassanbegg 2D is just right behind my street and last night after work as we went to visit our lot and we took the apportunity to visit 2D as well, and I was like what the hell, excuse my language because Kim from Op office said they have a special hill view that is why more expensive but I didn't find it as different, its nearly the same as mine and many others. It's a nice hill view now, but when you have multi 2 story homes and big trees, it won't be such a great view. But good luck to them, whoever buys them. The price jumps are amazing. I've estimated that my block would sell now for about 300k to 310k. So a 25-35k increase in just under 5 months.
