I had a hiccup with getting the certificate from EB but instead they gave me a bank letter so I could release my funds. We have slept at the house every night since Thursday and did the BIG move on Saturday - along with the 38 deg weather! We are trying to find a carpenter to build out steps out the back - would you know anyone by any chance? I saw your beautiful dog today! How is your landscaping going? It looks really nice. Great job! Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 925Nov 10, 2013 7:23 pm ChrisSarah avalanche hey Sarah, how was your handover? Hey! It was good. Our experience with EBH overall was fantastic! Would recommend it to anyone! We paid the payment by a cheque when we got our keys. I envy your driveway, it is so flat My landscaping is pretty much done,i am doing the simple requirements for now. i am just waiting for my neighbor to put his fence up so i can build my timber gate and everything should be done for the rebates. if your husband still want to build the gate, it is pretty easy, i did mine on one side. If you guys need a hand for anything , just let me know Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 929Nov 11, 2013 8:31 am Cody Drysdale joshnjacqui I want to offer a different point of view on the big house. If you can afford to do it on land you own, why not? Why should you be stopped just because a few people don't like it? Yeah Spring Farm is coming along nicely, just like Oran Park it's going up so quick. Not sure when they will start that park. Will be cool with the big boardwalk across the lake! I wouldn't like to live in a big eyesore house, but good on them for being able to do it I suppose! Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 930Nov 11, 2013 9:12 am Hi Guys Any Idea what is • Colour to Bardge • Internal feature cornice Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 931Nov 11, 2013 12:19 pm hassanbegg Hi Guys Any Idea what is • Colour to Bardge • Internal feature cornice They have a couple of cornice upgrades which can be a 'stepped' cornice or one with a slightly fancy curve, rather than the basic one. We paid for a package last year where they upgrade certain things throughout the home, including upgraded cornice to living areas. We paid around $6-700 to have it added throughout the rest of the house including alfresco. This is ours (not a picture of our house, I just googled this): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I can't recall about the final plans, but think someone in the EB thread may have replied to you about that. (Sorry!) Sarah, glad the move is happening, and hope it is going well:) How nice is avalanche's dog! Patrice, FYI in future I will likely joke about dognapping him, but I want to assure you I will never actually do it! He's just lovely and so smart I fall in love with all the puppies! Lots of paint and tiling at our place. Should have PCI in about a month if everything is on track! Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 932Nov 11, 2013 12:53 pm Cody Drysdale hassanbegg Hi Guys Any Idea what is • Colour to Bardge • Internal feature cornice thanks Cody, I just checked in my included packages and its 90mm in selected areas. Still not sure what Bardge is. drove to OPT yesterday and visited your house as always, i could see piles of tiles in your house and I think kitchen frame was also there. CSO contacted me this morning that our final plans arrived this morning and now she is waiting for these two items to be sorted ASAP Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 933Nov 11, 2013 2:13 pm hahahaha you are so funny Kristen are you still doing your blog? Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 934Nov 11, 2013 6:31 pm Hi Guys! Just a question in regards to slabs at Oran Park. I put a deposit on a 438 sq block in 4B, which should be registered by December 2014. I am building a 23 sq single story house. My question is, in most cases with those who built a single story house in Oran Park, did you have to upgrade your slab from a H to a M class slab? If so, how much extra (roughly) did your builder charge you? Thank you in advance guys! God bless. LOVING MY FAMILY TO THE MOON & BACK!! Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 935Nov 11, 2013 6:34 pm The difference on mine was $4000, I asked for my initial figures to be worked out on a H so when an M was required had some bonus cash to spend on upgrades Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 936Nov 11, 2013 6:53 pm dvestate The difference on mine was $4000, I asked for my initial figures to be worked out on a H so when an M was required had some bonus cash to spend on upgrades Thank you so much for your quick response dvestate, so does that go for most houses built at Oran Park? I am also told by my solicitor that our land release is in a bush fire zone meaning more needs to be spent on material outside each dwelling LOVING MY FAMILY TO THE MOON & BACK!! Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 937Nov 11, 2013 10:02 pm My place was in a bushfire zone but only because of the trees that were here prior to sub dividing. Are there trees near your block? Chances are it is no longer in a zone if no Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 938Nov 11, 2013 10:20 pm dvestate My place was in a bushfire zone but only because of the trees that were here prior to sub dividing. Are there trees near your block? Chances are it is no longer in a zone if no Thanks for your reply dvestate! Unfortunately in the contract as advised by my solicitor, it is in a bush fire zone. I think I'll give OPT office a call tomorrow and confirm. Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 939Nov 12, 2013 7:45 am Well mine had the same, once the land was registered we did a new assessment and no bushfire zone. Cost about $300 but saved a few thousand Re: Who else is building at Oran Park? 940Nov 12, 2013 8:10 am dvestate Well mine had the same, once the land was registered we did a new assessment and no bushfire zone.
