Are we entitled to any compensation from Stockland? ! Try not to stress about it though, you may find BH are more lenient or you can ask to extend your tender like others on the forum have done. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 2764Apr 15, 2014 9:29 am Hi natlyn, does Stockland's email say we will have settlement by late May? Our contract with NewLivingHomes will expire in May, fingers crossed no penalty incur. I did email Stockland for compensation for late registration as they originally promised. However, they replied that they understand our frustration, we could go through the solicitors if we wanted to rescind the contract. We are currently renting, so hope everything can move on asap. natlyn Well we only signed up with BH on Jan 31 so we have until end July. Fingers crossed we will be ready to go then and won't incur any penalties. Email from Stockland says we have settlement mid June. Are we entitled to any compensation from Stockland? James and Ash we saw you out the front of your place on Saturday tinkering about, sorry we didn't stop in we both have the flu and didn't want to spread germs! Great job, one less thing to worry about now Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 2769Apr 16, 2014 7:22 pm natlyn The driveway looks great! Is it coloured? Hey Natlyn the colour is charcoal and it has been mixed through the concrete. You can see the colour difference between wet and dry sections. It should look similar to the wet once we get the sealer onto it. Nat84 Looks awesome James!! Great job, one less thing to worry about now Thats it Nat now onto the next project haha. I noticed a small excavator with the auger bit in its bucket at the front of your block today. Wasn't doing anything just sitting there will check up on it again tomorrow. Question though are you guys getting rid of all the spoil from the cut of the lot thats sitting at the back of your block? (maybe thats why he hasn't done anything yet) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Built the Nova with MJH completed Dec 2013 Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 2770Apr 16, 2014 7:49 pm James+Ash natlyn The driveway looks great! Off to Perth tomoz and back on Monday night, hopefully a bit more will be done between now and then the guy that excavated our block will also be getting rid of the spoil, no idea when but hopefully soon, he is supposed to give me a call with the final figure once he gets rid of it, I'm assuming he's done with the excavating Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 2771Apr 16, 2014 8:11 pm Nat84 James+Ash natlyn The driveway looks great! They should be according to your electrical plan so perhaps take a copy and a tape measure if necessary.
