We have been crazy busy. Putting the house together, doing fencing, starting our garden, buying last things to finish it off and so many visitors! I will have some more pics later in the week as I am expecting a couple more things to come. First and foremost, my most favourite thing of the new house arrived last week, my new baby The couch arrived last week too but while I love it not as much as this new family member, my beautiful Charli girl. http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsd89d445c.jpg Kitchen pics. I am mostly happy with this room. I just think it needs some more colour. I am thinking I might get some red blinds. The one thing I do hate and it is the only thing I hate about my house is my gorgeous benchtop. That diamond gloss in a dark colour is terrible! Nevermind white being a problem for fingerprints and what not. Everytime someone puts a finger on that bench, a glass, ANYTHING! It has a mark on it and has to be washed and dried off with a cloth (streak marks too!). Drives me absolute bonkers! Although I do love it so long as no one uses the kitchen haha http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8012_zps0061a21b.jpg http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5699_zps629e06b8.jpg Main bathroom http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_7310_zps2f26e673.jpg My daughter's bedroom. http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5046_zpsed913044.jpg My baby boys room and his super cool light which he loves. Everytime we turn it on he yells out "moooooooonnnnnnn". http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5255_zpse8e2a0e9.jpg http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0019_zps34ca8211.jpg Dining room. We have one of those white gloss 16 cube units arriving this week to go along the wall in here to put all of the pretty homewares I brought over the last 18 months. I will be sure to post a pic when it comes because I have some really beautiful things going on there. Can't wait to see it all set up. Also loving my wine racks which I picked up for $30 on Gumtree. BARGAIN! I actually went out to the Barossa on the weekend and used it as an excuse to buy more wine. It had to be filled up a bit more right? http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6226_zpsacb56971.jpg http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2104_zpsb8b222cd.jpg Ensuite and main bedroom. http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_9990_zpsf0628007.jpg http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps65927892.jpg I haven't quite decided if I like the wall in my bedroom. It is nice and all but I think I preferred it before I added the blue. http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a622/tasha_is_clueless/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsc733c327.jpg Overall though, I love our house. Once we moved in all of those little things like not having the fanciest taps, not upgrading the doors or the handles, the glass by the front door I didn't like, just didn't matter anymore. It is our home and we are pretty proud of it. We have also fallen in love with our little town. Kids actually walk or ride over to eachother's houses to play. The kids in our street are always in the street and us parents our often out there gasbagging too. There may have even been a wine or two had between neighbours. These things were simply unheard of where we lived! We get the most amazing views of the sunset from our kitchen window in the afternoon and you can often hear horses, cows and sheep while sitting in our backyard which we all think is pretty cool. My favourite part though is something I don't hear someone say too often. I HAVE TOO MUCH STORAGE! Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. Your house too is looking fabulous and welcoming. I can see why you love your kitchen. Black? yes, I went black, and I know what you mean about every mark, but it is so lovely. Love the colours in the children's rooms, and the moon light. The wine racks look right at home too. I adore the colours on your bed, and probably would prefer not to have the blue strips on the wall, but it's hard to know without seeing it in real life. I also agree with you--no matter any defects or disappointments we might have at things we couldn't have, it is sooooo wonderful to be in our own homes. Well done. Re: Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA - Moved in pics 344Aug 20, 2014 11:28 am Love - the puppy (so cute), splashback (wish I had chosen silver), your sons light (mine has the same one). Our neighbourhood is just like yours and boy what a difference it makes!!! Thanks so much for coming up and giving us 'the end'. I was hoping that you would. Now for the happy ever after Re: Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA - Moved in pics 345Aug 24, 2014 4:58 pm _lucinda Tasha, love your new baby. Your house too is looking fabulous and welcoming. Yes, it is black with a grey marble effect. Lovely as long as no one uses the kitchen. A hard feat for a mum of two haha. On the subject of the blue on my wall you're exactly right, I couldn't have known without trying it. Such is life! The good news is I can change it whenever I like One upside to it is that it has provided me with much entertainment. My partner's friends are convinced I was creating a Port Power room (whilst I am a Port supporter I wasn't, I really do like those colours). My partner does not support anyone in the AFL but he is a stark raving mad Centrals supporter in the SANFL which means he has an innate hate for anything Port Adelaide. Whenever someone brings it up his face is pretty priceless haha. FairmontSAcustom Love - the puppy (so cute), splashback (wish I had chosen silver), your sons light (mine has the same one). Now for the happy ever after Not a problem. I never would have left it with nothing. Moved in pics are the best of them all! I am not surprised your son has the same light. How hard is it to find nice lights for a boys room?!?! I have some more photos too. Finally got some more of our lights put up this weekend. Dining room light that hangs over our table. My shelf unit for all my pretty things came too. This picture was taken by his cousin on her farm and given to us from his mum and it holds a very special place in our hearts. Years ago, there was a picture taken of Mick and his sister in front of the house in the background before she sadly died of a brain tumour. The blue skies are to represent the heavens so a beautiful keepsake to remind us of her in our house. You will have to update us with some moved in pics. I still have a few things to do. My front lounge has had shed stuff in it and we have only just got a shed so that will get done soon and besides my computer I haven't unpacked my desk stuff in the spare room so I still have a few things to do too. Not to mention our massive bloody yard. I am putting in a veggie patch this weekend and we have some grass but still so much to do out there. Can't wait for the day it is finished.
