I want to know now!! haha Have just called Fairmont who said it was due in last Friday and so they will chase up and get back to me. Well they better cause crazy impatient lady has arrived lol do you have any cats? we could call you the crazy cat lady would love to hear your selections. Re: Our build with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, South Australi 25May 15, 2013 2:44 pm Hahaha no cats, not a fan of cats at all lol. My selections are mostly white white and more white. I love white with bright colours. White walls (which I will add feature walls to), white gloss cupboards throughout, dark stone look benchtops (colour not quite decided), white tiles in bathrooms, wood look vinyl floors and dark grey carpets. White sounds insane to most people but apart from loving white my mum has a lot of white in her house (we have the same taste) and even with my kids running around demolishing the place it actually isn't all that hard to keep clean. Get the occasional chocolate finger marks on a cupboard but it is hardly the huge problem lots of people think it is. Getting wood look vinyl floor as we had them in our rental and they were fantastic in regards to them never looking dirty. Floor could be a mess of kids leaving bits and pieces all over it throughout the day and unless you looked closely you could never see they had demolished my house during the day haha. My mum on the other hand has floating floorbards and you can see EVERYTHING on them. So that is pretty much what I am doing. Thankfully, unlike most, I know exactly how I want it to look. I also know from my mums house that white does not age. Over the last 25 years she hasn't redone her rooms besides changing floors that have gotten old looking, change of feature wall colours and accessories and her house still looks as modern and fresh as it did when it was first built. So far it has been the biggest delay we have had and brought the crazy monster out in me We are also choosing lots of white, like you I love how it looks, classic, modern and timeless. Re: Our build with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, South Australi 27May 15, 2013 4:28 pm It also goes with any other colour that you like to decorate with at the time. Fairmont are giving us the run around :s they have said by this Friday. I told the lady she had better take note to make sure she has it or I might go crazy lady on her lol (did say jokingly and wasn't rude but may have been serious haha) Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. I'm glad you wrote enthusiastically about white because I think I'll have to have white cupboards throughout too, and probably white tiles in the bathroom. I'll warm to the idea, and your write-up is convincing. Re: Our build with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, South Australi 30May 15, 2013 9:06 pm He he, I think the poor girls at Fairmont are having a hard time because from what I can gather it is the company they are using to produce the reports that are taking so long. So in many ways their hands are tied. Still, not our fault and we want our report in a timely fashion! Maybe you can get all lawyer on them Re: Our build with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, South Australi 31May 15, 2013 9:25 pm Being crazy lady is awful zub. I promised myself not to do this but I want it now lol. Awww Lucinda I am glad I have inspired you with my love of white haha. Might help you to come to a decision. That is what Fairmont's told me which was why I joked about being a crazy lady instead of screaming down the phone "give it to me NOW" which is what I would have liked to have said haha. Hopefully they get them done. As I have been the one at the end of a phone with many annoyed customers having worked as a Legal Secretary in family law with understandably stressed people who you can't do much for due to processes, I can totally relate to what they must deal with so chances are I will want to be a crazy lady and won't lol Building the Leabrook with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, SA. Yeah this priority would be to getting contracts signed though, not processed. The date you sign is the effective date for the grant. Even if you apply after it finishes. Excuses I think..... Re: Our build with Fairmont Homes in Mallala, South Australi 36May 20, 2013 5:07 pm I'M SO HAPPY Engineers report is in! It has added $2,000 to the build but it fits in the budget and I can still have my glossy cupboards so although I would have preferred it to stay down I am still really happy with that.
