Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 18, 2013 10:07 pm Hi all, Just got slab poured a couple of weeks ago and builder has submitted a claim for progress payment. At this point I'm thinking I don't know much about the building process to make an informed decision on whether the work is satisfactory. I've contacted a few companies that provide staged inspection services but they cost a lot of money - about $450 per inspection and there are about 4 inspections in the build process. All I want to know is if there has been any significant issues that I should raise with the builder. Is anyone able to recommend a cheaper option, or an inspection service that is not as costly as above? The build is in High Wycombe, WA. Thank you!! Re: Staged inspection recommendations 2Feb 18, 2013 11:07 pm We're having inspections just before lock up and Pci. The one before lock up will be able to inspect frames, bricks, and some of the internals before linings commence. And of course Pci just before we settle.
