I really like the colour and texture of the second picture, I just have no idea how to communicate it except by showing the photo, so you're lucky your contract understands you what you want! We have the concrete in the open plan living/kitchen/dining area. It's a brand new slab with a topping. Follow the renovation of our Inner West terrace: http://207young.blogspot.com Re: Polished concrete 38Feb 24, 2013 5:53 pm Hmm well yes but looks to me the link shows 'brooming' marks and this would suggest a sealer of some form or another. But not penetrating that is for sure. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Polished concrete 39Feb 24, 2013 6:18 pm Thanks. I actually spoke to the architect of the 2nd link and you're right, they used a topical sealer - Porters All Purpose Clear Sealer. Follow the renovation of our Inner West terrace: http://207young.blogspot.com To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9863 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10947 |
