It is an odd shape block so we have adapted Redink's Pacific to try and maintain as much backyard as possible (which means we have an odd shape Activity Room and Laundry but we can live with that...... However we are STRUGGLING with our front elevation and need HELP! I will post some pics and would welcome feedback!!!! It's driving me nuts

Look forward to seeing your pics. Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 3Feb 10, 2013 9:04 pm Hi, we are building with Redink too, we are awaiting our working drawing/contracts and to set a prestart date, so probably not too far off you! Will be interesting to follow your posts, good luck!! ![]() building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 4Feb 20, 2013 12:12 am Thanks so much guys, we're really happy with the plans but trying to decide on windows for the front elevation has been so frustrating!!! And I just can't make a decision on colours..... I think we are exactly at the same stage cedes75, good luck and I look forward to following your progress!! Ps how do you upload pics?? Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 5Feb 20, 2013 12:30 am Hi there! We've signed up with RedInk as well. 1) started an imageshack account, 2) upload the photo (do no resize or next best option so the photo doesn't lose all resolution) 3) copy the direct link after you've uploaded it. 4) When your typing a post, click the [img] button below the title bar 5) You will find the following tags in the window "", 6) Simply paste the link you copied in between the 2 tags. Slap dash explanation, if not sufficient info, do a search as I'm sure there's been topics explaining it in more detail. Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 6Feb 20, 2013 4:24 pm Thanks so much lowerchittering, greatly appreciate it!! Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 7Feb 20, 2013 4:39 pm Does anyone have some good pics or a website to decide on front elevation render, roof, fascia, gutter, garage colours??? We're thinking grey/white or brown/white/beige! We have a portico and blade wall we want in a feature darker render ![]() Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 8Feb 20, 2013 5:55 pm We are also building in Wildwood Carramar We decided to go with a modified version of the Aspen by APG homes. This is what the front elevation looks like http://apghomes.com.au/homes/display-homes/aspen Would also recommend looking at rural building company for "bush" themed elevations which would look good in this estate. Are you building the display spec version of the pacific? i.e. 330sqm? - thats huge, we have sacrifised some of our house size to allow for a bigger backyard. Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 9Feb 20, 2013 6:42 pm Wow, the Aspen elevation is gorgeous!!! We are building the promo version but to be honest, it's pretty close to the spec version, our total area is actually 335sqm!! So yep, it is big. We had to make some modifications for the shape of the block but otherwise we're happy ![]() Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 10Feb 20, 2013 6:51 pm Ok, so here is our sketch, don't pay too much attention to the elevation sketch as window frames didn't show for some reason? Our highlite window goes around the corner and we will have a blade wall underneath the highlite windows. We have also upgraded to the 1200mm front door with horizontal glass panels. Desperately need help on window 'style' and colours for exterior!! Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 11Feb 20, 2013 6:58 pm Yep our block is 600sqm too, we bought in stage 1b and are up on the sloped area. We reduced our house from 300sqm to 259sqm to allow for side access for boat and possible pool in backayrd (can only dream!). Are you going with colorbond roof? I would stick with the white roof, then choose lighter render colors to the front. Choosing front facade colors is one of the hardest parts...... Are you just choosing alternate render colors to front or are you looking to add feature walls with cladding / tiling / stone etc? Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 12Feb 20, 2013 7:03 pm For some reason I can't attach the plan?! No [img] icon? Yes, we are in 1st release too! We just happened to get this block as it came back onto the market ![]() Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 13Feb 20, 2013 7:44 pm Hi WildwoodDream, Look forward to seeing your design. Don't take to much notice of windows on front elevation as frames didn't come through, but we're still deciding on window style anyway ![]() Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 18Feb 21, 2013 1:01 am Great use of the odd shaped block. We were told these requirements could cost an extra $8000. However we have been unable to get any information from the council, landsales and builder as to what is needed to be added to the homes... Does anyone know by any chance? Re: Building with Redink Homes Carramar Wildwood Estate 20Feb 21, 2013 12:18 pm Thanks Munchy, it was a bit of a challenge as we could of had the plan as is if it was flipped, however it left us with no back yard and little pockets of wasted space, plus a lot of wasted space out the front! Originally the bathroom was configured into the odd shape the activity is now in, but like you, we loved the bathroom in the pacific so we decided to swap the activity and bathroom and live with the odd shaped activity, as I am sure the kids won't care!!! But we're going to ask at Prestart if we could add a highlite window in the activity along the slanted wall...not sure if its too late! We also changed all windows leading to Alfreso to sliding glass doors as it was quite a reasonable cost ![]() A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time.
