Do you know of any location where it has been built or near built to get an idea of street appeal? Regards Alejess Re: Switch homes 2 storey-grey float, ceilings, cornices, white 83Sep 18, 2013 7:22 pm Hi Alejess, I saw that you have started a thread about the 270 so i have answered there so that this thread can stay on topic ![]() Mlb Re: Switch homes 2 storey-grey float, ceilings, cornices, white 85Sep 30, 2013 11:01 am Hi everyone! Sorry for the long delay in posting anything! It's been just so busy! I get married this Saturday so things have been a little hectic! Thank goodness it's a public holiday today so I can catch my breath!! I will try and update as much as I can over the coming few weeks, but I will be laying on a remote beach in Thailand somewhere. It hard because we are at lockup now so we can't get in.... We have discovered our house will be impenetrable!!! (Which is a good thing! Except I want to get in now!! Haha). Not sure about when we will be moving in... Switch have been vague with answering that one! Hopefully soon as we will be newlyweds living with my parents!!!!! Here is the long awaited catchup! 13/09/13 - bath delivered, doors delivered, door handles etc delivered Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 16/09/13 - Tile delivery, plumbing installed (floor wastes), windows installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 17/09/13 - Downstairs cabinets installed aaaaannnndddd.........LOCKED OUT!!!!! It sucks not to be in your house yet but I hope it happens soon. For some reason all the photos would not load on my page. Can you say who you used for your brickwork and rendering? We may need to get someone private to do our letter box but don't want to get ripped off. Figured it would be very expensive through Switch seeing as our small planter on the front window was $1000. We have pre-start this Thursday so very busy trying to finalise everything for the big day! We have a lot of non-standard items which makes it a bit of a nightmare! Hope you are keeping well and thanks for the update. I haven't been on here for a while as things have been a bit crazy here. Take care ![]() Re: Switch homes 2 storey- cabinets, locked out!!!, tiling. P 87Oct 21, 2013 10:05 am It is looking fab! I wish we were as far along as you. Re: Switch homes 2 storey- shower scrns, electrical - PCI Bo 92Nov 05, 2013 8:34 pm I love your shower niche!!! We asked for one last week but it couldn't go on the outside wall. We then said under the taps but it is a stud wall behind it to fit in our cavity slider door. Awwwww. Love your handles too. I think we have them in our kitchen, laundry and scullery. We are also having ours done in Taubmans martini and wanted to see what they looked like before we sign off on the colours. Thanks ![]() H1 Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61557 Re: Switch homes 2 storey- shower scrns, electrical - PCI Bo 97Dec 20, 2013 11:55 pm The house looks amazing Kirsty and I really hope you have well and truly moved in by now! Looking forward to the "finished" pictures soon! True to their form, we still haven't started construction although we were originally told we'd have a substantial amount of brick work up by Christmas. We are used to the disappointment at this stage. Still waiting on our final drafting to be done. I could go on but I won't! At least we have a lot to look forward to in the new year and hopefully things start happening in the new year. Switch may have changed their image but they have a lot a work to in becoming more efficient. Wishing you and your husband a great Christmas. Your wedding photos look amazing btw. I hope the big day went well ![]() Re: Switch homes 2 storey- shower scrns, electrical - PCI Bo 98Feb 01, 2014 4:07 pm Hi Kirsty! Any chance of some photos soon?!! Pleeeeeease ![]() We are now on almost an identical timeline as you. We handed back our plans straight after the Christmas break and are now finally handed over to the construction side. Yay!! I can now understand your excitement when a sign went up! Should be interesting to see if they are quicker to build (I'm not counting on it but would be nice!). It's great we have your reference to gauge when things might be done and when we have to cough up more money! Thanks for all your work in putting together the thread and I hope you are enjoying the peace and quiet of being in your own place ![]() We are building over a main (100mm, 2m deep and concrete encased) - unfortunately in our case the SM was a late find post settlement (grrr) We have a DA and just… 2 21756 3 14927 Building Standards; Getting It Right!
