Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 04, 2013 12:14 pm Hi, Just thought I would find out if anyone on this forum is building in Honeywood Estate, Wandi? We're hoping to be in our place by the end of April. We really love the estate. It will be a big change from living 5 mins from the city in South Perth to the way out in the burbs (although it only takes 20 mins to drive to the city on the weekend with not much traffic). Looking forward to having a nice new home and a backyard! I'd love to hear from anyone else building in the estate, what you think of it, or how your build is going. Im building in Honeywood, however am still waiting for my land to be titled This will also be a big change for me having always lived within 10 mins of the CBD. If you don't mind me asking, who did you build with? Re: Anyone Building in Honeywood Estate, Wandi WA? 3Feb 04, 2013 1:48 pm We're building with Redink who have been pretty good so far. Our house is similar to the Biscay which is in the display village - but building 3 bedrooms instead of 4 as we really wanted decent back yard (and we have no kids). When will your land be titled? the blocks get snapped up so quickly in Honeywood. Titles finally came through last week and hoping to settle and get the build underway soon. We are building with Ross North. We currently live in Beeliar, so it will be a close move for us. We have 3 children, ages 11, 9 & 3, the playground and grassed parks look fabulous!!!! Re: Anyone Building in Honeywood Estate, Wandi WA? 5Feb 04, 2013 5:15 pm We love all the parklands and wetlands around the place too...it has that semi-rural feel. We are in stage 1 (c i think?) - closer to Lyon Rd. I think it's going to be a really nice estate once it's all finished. We were overseas for a little while and came back and couldn't believe how many more houses had sprung up. Our neighbours moved in the other week and few houses around us look lilke they are pretty close to finishing. Titles come though in March. Have chosen to go with Blueprint Homes. The parks in Honeywood look amazing and overall the development seems to have a really nice feel to it. Hopefully the house will be finished towards the end of the year and we will look to start a family soon after. Very excited! Re: Anyone Building in Honeywood Estate, Wandi WA? 8Feb 07, 2013 8:28 am That's very exciting 'Blueyoshi' Hopefully your titles are on time. Ours were 2 months late and only came through last week. Re: Anyone Building in Honeywood Estate, Wandi WA? 9Feb 07, 2013 10:52 am We got very lucky to get our block, after missing the boat a couple of times on blocks we wanted, we spoke to the estate manager just at the right time as a previously sold lot became available again - so we put a deposit down then and there. The funny thing is, turns out the people that had the block before us are friends of my husband's sister (fortunately they have now bought another block in Honeywood ). Conveniently, they had been looking at the display we had - the Redink Biscay and already had the plans drawn up to fit our block (it's not a perfectly rectangular block, it 'pokes out' towards one back corner and is narrower at the front). Anyway, it seems like fate. blueyoshi, -not long to go now then! We're just on Wirra Corner, not far from Honeywood ave. Once you get through all the paperwork and prestart it's amazing how quickly it all happens. Holmsweethome - congrats on your titles coming through, you'll be able to get started soon then? I wish I discovered this forum earlier in our build - I only got on to it a month or so ago, there so much helpful info that I wish I had known earlier (DH and I know nothing about building).
