Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 02, 2013 9:04 pm Hi guys, we are building with Redink and so far their customer service has been great. My only concern is that everything seems to take so long, we had the site survey end December, the working drawing/ compliance check/site costs were done last week, now they say it'll take 2 - 3 weeks for contracts then another 3 weeks or so for a prestart appointment, have other people waited this long???? Seems to be taking forever!!! Frustrating. building with Redink Prestart 21/3/13 Slab down 12/6/13 Brickwork started 5/8/13 Brickwork finished 26/8/13 Roof frame 6/9/13 Colorbond 26/9/13 Grey float 11/10/13 white set 17/10/13 Re: How long for contracts Redinkers??? 2Feb 03, 2013 10:56 am Hi cedes75 welcome to the forum. Welcome fellow Redinker Our current plans/contracts took about 3 months- PQC signed mid Jul contracts received begining of oct. I think this was alittle longer then most but only by 2-4 weeks. Just bare in mind they had a 3 week christmas break in there too. If you have any concerns you can always contact your client advocate, and they can see how all is progressing and update on what is still to be done. I too got a little frustrated at the time span but considering we were up to prestart our first time around and then changed our location & block we had to start all over again from the pqc and Redink did not charge us or penalise us in anyway. I cannot fault them. This stage i think is the hardest part because you can't do much other then wait. it is so anti climatic but then You then have prestart (lots of excitement) and a bit more waiting then (if finace is already approved) scheduling abit more waiting then... it starts..... and from what i see on the forum it just keeps going. Our plans had some amendments required for council over the christmas period and god bless them they got them organised and approved alot faster then we anticpated it was really good. Our Block is cleared we have a pad and a power box and our slab should be poured with in the next fortnight ( fingers crossed). Our estimated completion time is for around the end of july/ early august. Sorry that was a bit of a mouth full. I hope it helps somewhat. May i ask which of their lovely plans/homes you have decided to build and where ? Cheers Chelle xxoo Re: How long for contracts Redinkers??? 3Feb 03, 2013 11:42 pm Ours was about 6 weeks from memory and we had presart booked when they sent the contracts out. We are always suprised when we visit our house on the weekend how much has been done during the week. Redink have been great so far. Good luck with your build.
