But it's heaps better than it was. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 163Sep 23, 2013 2:20 pm Woot! As long as you're happy At least it is finished now! No need to worry about it. I went up to the block yesterday and found my cabinets actually delivered ahead of schedule. I guess miracles do happen...albeit small ones! DH went up to see the painter this morning and said he can't see much more that needs to be done, the shower screens and mirrors are in, tiling is finished, looks like just the toilets need to be installed and our two problems fixed and that's pretty much it for the inside. Outside just the paving needs doing and a little bit of painting. Surely that won take them a month to get done..? Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 165Sep 23, 2013 3:38 pm Keep on top of GA I reckon. My bet is they'll do ours on the same day like they did the garage grano! Jay - are your kitchen cabinets there, or just bathrooms?! Still waiting for our kitchen Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 167Sep 23, 2013 10:21 pm Yes we have a garage door, I'll post some photos in a minute. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 168Sep 24, 2013 9:23 pm Jealous!! They ordered our garage door in July, not sure why it's not on yet Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 169Oct 06, 2013 12:55 am A few photos: New render colour - still not great, but lots better than it was. Have organised for our fencing and front landscaping to happen as well. Can't wait to get our keys! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 170Oct 06, 2013 10:36 am Wow the flooring looks great!! You must be very happy to have it already done prior to handover, I'm not looking forward to trying to organise our tiles Still can't book them because they won't give us even a rough date!! Pavers and front doors can always be changed later if you really can't stand them, the doors are quite a statement, I like the colour. At least you won't have to clean the glass when kiddy gets his hands all over them! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 171Oct 07, 2013 10:35 am Flooring looks good.. excellent news on working out the fencing and landscaping.. does the landscpaing have a waiting period now do you know at all? Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 178Oct 13, 2013 9:31 pm Thanks guys. I'm still not convinced on the render but it was about the best colour that DH and I could agree on. Nicci Flooring looks good.. excellent news on working out the fencing and landscaping.. does the landscpaing have a waiting period now do you know at all? Render colours are looking great I'm not 100% sure as DH is dealing with the landscaping, I'll have to find out, but I think you just send your form in about 8 weeks prior to handover and then they call you to arrange. You need to have your garden prepared for them first, and I'll just warn you, this is when the 'piles of sand and rubbish dumped on your block' crap from the beginning of builds makes an unwelcome return. jaymak Woo hoo! Well done S! When do you reckon you'll be getting keys? Sometime this century Jay? Looking at some time mid November I think but the way things go with GA I'm not holding my breath. twiggens Your driveway is almost done, saw it this arvo If they work on Saturday they should finish it off! We went up yesterday and nothing more had been done from what you saw I don't think. Quite a few of the pavers were broken or chipped but they still used them! What the...? Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 179Oct 14, 2013 9:37 am Yeah didn't see anyone working there over the weekend Why on earth they would use broken and chipped pavers when they've got a whole pallet of them! There would surely be enough to choose from that aren't damaged, I would be complaining loudly!! Most likely they'll finish off and take the pavers to someone elses build. And handover mid November? Are you kidding me?! Why so slow? At that rate, I definitely won't be getting handover this year Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 180Oct 14, 2013 5:46 pm Palladian jaymak Woo hoo! The earlier you get yours, the earlier we get ours Our air con has been installed today FYI. I think we're about on par at the moment, still have no garage door... I was going to say something but I forgot.... Oh yeah..landscaping...I've already got mine organised. Get in early if you want it done before Christmas, I got an email from them telling me to book if it is urgent as they're quite busy, apparently! Keep updating us!
