It doesn't look quite so hideous in that photo. It's nothing like we thought it would be, the sample was more muted and had more of a grey tone iykwim. I can't wait to get up there and see it. We've been looking at other colours today, will definitely try them on a small area around the side before committing this time though. Going up on the weekend with some sample pots! Going up on the weekend with some sample pots! Glad you are able to sort it out it's never good to have something you don't like. So it's not completely ick but...no. We've painted a few colours on there, I won't bother to post photos cos the colours don't look anything like in reality, but we've gone with Solver 'Dolphin' and if it looks horrible I will be beyond caring. On a nice note we met our next door neighbours and they are lovely! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 150Sep 04, 2013 4:21 pm Good news that they're letting you change their colour. If I'm not mistaken, most builders won't allow that..! If I'm not mistaken, most builders won't allow that..! Depends if it incurs any further cost or delays i suppose? But very lucky it seems to of been changed with such ease Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 152Sep 04, 2013 8:40 pm Yes it's only because the painter had only done one coat. If he had been finished we would have had to organise it ourselves after handover. So happy about it, that blue is so ugh. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 153Sep 05, 2013 1:11 pm What was the original colour you had chosen if you don't mind me asking? Thanks heaps. Nicci we picked Solver Parisienne with the feature column in Blue Shadow. They're in this brochure - http://www.solverpaints.com.au/diy/Colo ... 0Final.pdf - but they look different on the computer. I guess if it is unbearably horrible we can always paint over it. Here's the original colour Palladin chose Jaymak Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 155Sep 05, 2013 4:40 pm Jay that was the colour! It didn't look anything like that in the sample though! The colour online is quite true to life for Parisienne, but not so much for Dolphin. We really should have painted a few slabs with sample pots before we chose. Oh well, you live and learn! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 156Sep 05, 2013 6:44 pm That's what I was thinking! Now I'm hoping our external render turns out what we'd expect...
