Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 122Aug 26, 2013 8:41 pm Oh thanks Twigs, was it gross? I'm having massive render regrets and I HATE our doors. Will have to drive up and have a squizz tomorrow. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 123Aug 27, 2013 1:40 am It's not gross, but it's quite a vivid blue! Like the sky methinks. Should be easy to paint over if you're not happy with it. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 124Aug 27, 2013 2:08 am Oh poo. That doesn't sound good! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 125Aug 27, 2013 10:59 am Don't worry about render colour! You can get a tin of another colour after handover and change it to whatever you feel like! Sorry should of taken a photo when I went passed.... Lol loved Twiggens description All I could think when I saw it was wow its very blue!!! I'm sure it's one of those colours that you grow to love once you get passed the initial...oh wow it's blue I only had a quick look when I went passed though and they hadn't finished yet...so can't wait to have a better look later this week I'm sure it will look lovely once its all comes together and if not its only a coat of paint I'm stressing about our render colours too let's hope its how I picture it to look. The tiny paint sample look so different to the reality of seeing it on a huge wall. You should of seen our last house we just sold. We chose a nice neutral paint to paint throughout the whole house, a couple of weeks before the first home open. It looked fine on the sample I just about cried when I saw it. It was really bad luckily we sold straight away and I didn't need to live with it or too long. This time I'm staying far away from anything that looks remotely yellow!!! It's um...horrible. So not what we had in mind. Looks like we will be painting inside AND out! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 133Aug 28, 2013 11:10 pm It's far from horrible, just very blue! I've seen waaaay worse, I think there's a house somewhere in Corimbia that looks pink - I'm sure they weren't aiming for pink!! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 134Aug 29, 2013 12:35 am All u can do now is smile, it's definitely got character! Not my cup of tea but its an easy fix.. you have a really nice elevation, so a quick repaint will give your house the street appeal it deserves!! Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 135Aug 29, 2013 1:23 am No it's not horrible! not that bad. twiggens It's far from horrible, just very blue! I've seen waaaay worse, I think there's a house somewhere in Corimbia that looks pink - I'm sure they weren't aiming for pink!! There's a brown and orange house somewhere in Corimbia.... THAT's ugly. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 136Aug 29, 2013 9:28 am Are you thinking of the house just up the hill from Palladian with the red roof? THAT is hideous. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 137Aug 29, 2013 10:00 am Its not terrible.. our first house we built, i chose a nice grey when it was painted it was a lovely shade of purple(HATED it).. by the end of it we were the house people used for directions.. once you pass the purple house turn left.. so we were famous.. i learnt to live with it as i so couldnt be bothered painting it Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 138Aug 29, 2013 11:17 am The render is the one thing I am nervous about also, as you never get a sense of the colour properly when its on that small swatch, though we are hoping we got ours right. And I agree with everyone else when I say I have seen much worse around the place. Re: Building in Landsdale with New Generation Homes 139Aug 29, 2013 11:47 am I actually quite like that colour, gives it a contemporary feel. Whilst I wouldn't go out and pick that colour myself, I actually think it brings a degree of peace and serenity... And I agree with everyone else when I say I have seen much worse around the place. We're also worried, we picked Solver dawn grey as the main colour, it's only after we had prestart we looked at it again and again and thought there's a green hue in it. We decided to leave it, if it turns out to be some khaki or army green, it's not difficult to fix. Hi there! Putting the feelers out there for those who have (or almost) built with Arli homes!
