Re: Show me your Home theatre colours 6Jan 29, 2013 8:02 pm Hi Guys, Thanks so much for sharing - they look great! Fairy blue - see I didn't even think about the doors and we have 2 x 2340 x 820 doors on the entry wall (which is on the side), so we will probably have to do those too...... OMG.... does it ever end! So we've gone with Dulux Drive Time for the walls which is a kind of teal colour, and our carpet is a medium to dark grey, but we plan on leaving the ceilings as per the rest of the house which is a kind of off white. I guess same for the doors. At the end of the day we didn't want to sacrifice the aesthetics of the room to have the best possible colour scheme for a home theatre - but some people do! Personal choice... So yeah, not been built yet but that's the plan. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Our blog - http://ourwisdommajestic40.blogspot.com.au/ Our H1 thread - viewtopic.php?t=54156 Re: Show me your Home theatre colours 9Jan 30, 2013 11:26 am This is another thread on home theatres. We are all hoping for lots more pictures... viewtopic.php?f=34&t=59889 Re: Show me your Home theatre colours 10Jan 30, 2013 10:43 pm Marmalade I created a 3d model of the house we want to buy to use for situations like this (we are hopelessy colour uncoordinated!) I wanted a warm inviting look to the HT, so am thinking earthy tones and a lighter coloured carpet (and furniture fabric) to add contrast. Rear walls will have some brightly coloured or screen printed acoustic panels to add some colour when viewed from the outside, which won't be a viewing distraction when seated. A quick render...
