A colleague of mine said he would never build with Colorbond again because of the noise, e.g. rain, birds landing on roof, wind. Would anyone be able to comment on noise levels for both? Thanks. Throughout the storms up here in northern nsw we barely heard the rain. We thought it would be loud but really no different to tiles. We cant hear birds or anything. Usually you will hear rain noise. If you dont you may have been lucky and they installed a blanket. Which looks like sarking from underneath and insulation on the top side. Its no diferent to our old tile house noise wise. Cost about $16-1800 for a 300sqm roof.
