Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Colorbond Roofs vs Concrete Roof Tiles (Melbourne West) 39Feb 04, 2013 9:16 pm JimmyL I'm surprised so many people would chose tiles over colourbond. I have a house with each and hands down the colourbond is better. I climbed into the roof space of the tile roof in winter and was amazed at how draughty it was. Any heat that makes it past the insulation is lost. Also in a storm I have not had a colourbond roof leak but on several occasions had the tiles leak enough to leave a stain on ceiling.
